The algorithm suggested your video to me yesterday. Today you've won a new sub - love the dry humor!

You may not be an engineer, your humour hurts just as much as engineer humour. Brilliant work.

Add a camera, high power big bore air rifle and and way to remotely pu the trigger it could be a remote hunting station. Set up hunting stand and feeder then just hunt from comfort of your vehicle

I am "actually" an engineer and I must say I am really impressed by your skillset. I absolutely love the fact that people can learn anything these days if they want to. Lucky for me, I come from a place where degrees cost more or less nothing, just need to pass the exams or you get locked out forever.

As far as software goes, the truth in the industry is simple : if it works, it works, and that makes it much better than any other fancy code that does not in a similar time frame.

By definition of the word engineer, you are an engineer... what you mean is you don't have university qualifications .... got news for you, the guy that invented the wheel didn't either man! I have no qualifications in computer science or software engineering... just that I've been coding since 1980! From Fortran and Z80 and Basic to Rust and Python and MoJo is my latest... Am I a coder? Or a wannabe coder?

Maybe annealing the welded assembly before starting the flatening process would have helped with the temperature differencial deformations you got? I mean, it would still deform with temperature but that deformation would theoretically be more uniform if there wasn't residual stresses within the part due to weld contractions.

As somebody who's also not an engineer (at least, not of the realm where ctrl + z doesn't work), there was a lot of this I didn't understand, but still found entertaining. Great stuff!
