Completely disagree with the correlation of “triple digit” silver only existing in extreme economic conditions. The price of silver is NOT in-par with inflation or dollar devaluation. If you tied the price of silver to inflation it would already be over $100. How can every other asset class, equity market, real estate, crypto Etc etc be so extremely over valued yet silver is the only asset that if it was goes much higher it has to be in an economic nightmare situation?

Getting the local government to recognize the deed exchange would require IRS 1099-misc which requires the market value of the bartered item, not the face value of your eagles. Exchanging into fiat, performing the sale would attract a lot less attention. You should have bought the eagles in cash, in person.

@@cbam4517 File Form 1099-MISC for each person to whom you have paid during the year: Used typically for labor "each person" the only tangible item is fish. When you trade in a car you don't pay tax on the value of the car because it's in the barter system? Thanks for a great comment.

@@danielsbullioncoins2746 Every entity involved in performing a RE transaction needs a dollar value to do their portion. Think county establishing assessment value, title company, both party's estates. If anyone saw a $100k property suddenly sell for a thousand dollars, it would invite so many questions. A buyer with silver should go quietly into the transaction with fiat. They must have strategically managed their "basis" in the source of their funds. Google "asset basis". And buy that asset with cash, in person. "Yes, I saved my birthday gifts for many years to purchase this property" "Grandma gave me $10,000 a year since I was born, I love her dearly"

Great video, knowledge, and history as always! My 2 cents: I think if you can exchange gold or silver for any other asset that you need, be it land, a car, dollar bills to start doing business, you should do it. If people can leverage their metals for any kind of return that makes sense to them, I think that's a great mindset.

@danielsbullioncoins2746Ай бұрын
Who knows what the future holds so let's be ready for anything. Hope for the best plan for the worst.
@horsewhisperer3708Ай бұрын
The IRS would view a house purchase with gold coins as a barter transaction rather than a cash sale. In this case, you wouldn’t be able to use the face value of the coins (e.g., $20 marked on a gold coin). Instead, the IRS would require you to report the fair market value of the gold at the time of the transaction. Here’s how it works: 1. Fair Market Value: The IRS would assess taxes based on the current market value of the gold used to buy the house, not the face value of the coins. If gold is worth $2,000 per ounce, and you use a $20 gold coin that contains one ounce of gold, the IRS would view the transaction as being worth $2,000, not $20. 2. Capital Gains Tax: If you acquired the gold coins at a lower price and their value has increased over time, you may owe capital gains tax on the difference between your purchase price (your cost basis) and the fair market value at the time of the transaction. The IRS considers the sale of gold as disposing of property, and any gains realized are taxable. 3. Seller’s Tax Liability: The seller of the house would also have to report the fair market value of the gold received as the sale price of the home for their tax purposes, including potential capital gains or ordinary income taxes, depending on their situation. In short, the IRS doesn’t care about the face value of the gold coins; it will tax the transaction based on the actual value of the gold on the date the transaction occurs.

The IRS isn't even a legitimate government agency. Quit complying with their fear tactics and BS and claim your birthrights as an American State National. If you stand your ground, they can't touch you.
@chiil034Ай бұрын
It's possible the IRS may consider the $1000 face for $100,000 purchase - the difference of $99,000 may be considered a gift.

Most likely it would be considered a loss. If it's considered a gift maybe they have a tax rate for that? IDK

As someone familiar with geopolitics now a days, US is misusing the power of dollar by sanctioning so many countries around the world. Eventually this will backfire, and US dollar will collapse as soon as it looses the global reserve currency status. It will most likely not happen anytime this decade or even next decade, but many experts believe that we will see an inflection point in global big power play at around 2050

Hey Daniel. I work for UPS. We will insure anything. I used to deliver to an auction house (Heritage) here in Dallas. I would have 20-40 pound boxes of coins insured for over 100k. I believe insurance is 1$ per 100 insured. Also just fyi, the post office looses more mail, by percent than us or even Fedex.
@danielsbullioncoins2746Ай бұрын
Thanks so much for the reply. In my experience the "insurance" never paid for the total loss. They first said "we don't cover these types of items" after making it impossible to even get any kind response from them. They are impossible to deal with all you get is the run around. I felt like in the end I had re- earned the money in lost hours. For me I've found driving to the wholesaler works best. When it cost a $1,000.00 to "insure" I figured I could afford a truck and 4 hours on the road plus maybe one hour exchanging. Thanks again for your input and I hope this explains my opinion and situation which may be different then others.
