This is totally sweet! Love it love it love it! 3rd reuse by Bach that I know of for this tune. The Violin Partita and also Wir Danken Dir cantata (Netherlands Bach Society recording is spectacular). Turn up your bass!

What a delight to hear this at a pace the enables you to hear all the little inner lines. This is another showpiece that is often played too rapidly. Leave it to Mssr. Roth to give it the correct feeling. A French organist playing French masterpieces on a French organ. Can you ask for anything more?

Meister Roth is not only one of the world's finest organists, he is a warm-hearted, thorough going gentleman with it. Notice that he neither nodded nor vocalised to the registrant page turner-what a compliment! His genuine smile at the end sums up his humility and sincerity; truly a living national treasure of France.

Completely agree with everything you have written here. The manner in which he encourages young organists is truly inspirational. Even though he is Titulaire of one of the greatest organs in France, he is never possessive of it.

I last heard this live at St. Sulpice. I like Nathan's rendition as well or better.
