There are two theories I like about the great stone dragon not waking up. Either the great stone dragon was by her side all this time (the sword had the great stone dragon's face) or that Mulan herself was the great stone dragon and thus proved herself the strongest. Both are theories I love.

Hi Maureen! I have really enjoyed your reaction videos and am glad to have stumbled upon your account. They bring me a lot of peace and it is a joy to react alongside you. If you so please, I highly recommend reacting to the film Everything Everywhere All at Once, if you'd like. It touches upon generational trauma, mental health, and mother daughter dynamics just like in Turning Red except in a more comedic yet in depth way. Be warned it is a lot heavier than an animated movie, but I feel everyone should watch the film regardless. Anyhow, thanks for the wonderful reaction videos!

I love this movie so much and I’m sorry to make this much more sad than it already is. But apparently (I’ve read conspiracies cause I like over thinking) Carl has passed and his heaven is Paradise Falls, making Russel his Guardian Angel to help him reach his version of heaven.

I love this movie so much. My name is Remi and I worked in a kitchen with this guy named Nemo, and he would always call me little chef 😂 I just would tell him to find his dad.

Something to think about.. when his wife approached the tombstone, she read the name as if it was the first time. Ryan most likely kept the guilt and turmoil inside of him for all those years only to finally be released when he saw the tombstone.

I LOVE this movie and everything in it! All the different stories of the people and the music is just absolutely amazing and so well made. I remember watching a video of the cast rehearsing “This is me” and it just hits me in the feelings every single time!!!

The best father/son relationship an animated movie ever gave us. I always get moved by this movie because I see a lot of me and my father. This movie can be interpreted as so many things, in my case it was my sexual orientation. Having a secret to keep from your father, that goes against what society accepts. It's my whole story distilled into an animation movie. And dragons! What can you ask for more? Have you ever seen any Ghibli movie? If not I really suggest you to do it. Like "Spirited away", or "Kiki delivery service".

Coraline is my favorite movie, I watch it all the time over and over. I even bought Coraline things to decorate my room with!! So seeing your reaction is refreshing, someone who doesn’t know about the movie. Reminds me of my first time 💙💙

I feel Like this movie could have been a classic if they hadn’t canned the first female director and scrubbed the story of any nuanced theming about gender, womanhood and mother daughter relationships. The men who replaced her waxed poetic about how the story “wasn’t about gender” when obviously the relationship between mother and daughter and the gender roles that constrain them are the most compelling aspect of the movie! The general vibe of the movie is still fun and well polished so it’s still a fun watch, but the story is definitely a mess. I’m so curious about what was originally envisioned for the story.

My favorite little tidbit is: Forrest was so good at ping pong because he was told not to take his eye off the ball, and he takes everything so literally. The only time he lost was because he was looking at his son rather than the ball.

to this day this is still the best piece of media i have seen on the topic of grief. there was one line that always stood out to me and that was russel's 'i think the boring stuff is the stuff i remember most' because it's so incredibly true. i didn't fully understand it until i lost one of the most important people in my life. i didn't miss the travels or the big life events, i missed sitting in her garden with her cats. i missed the 'boring' walks, i miss just being in the same room as her and not having to talk and it not being uncomfortable. the sequence of carl going through the adventure book and seeing that him and ellie did have an adventure broke me completely. i have never sobbed so hard watching a film. sure they didn't go to paradise falls together but they had a happy life, cherishing the small moments, which always end up being the ones that matter. then of course him letting out all of the furniture and saying goodbye to the house is him accepting it, not forgetting, but just accepting that he has to let go. i always have a lump in my throat watching this film.

As i get older i search less and less for the purpose and meaning behind life, and all i want now is rhat when im on my death bed, to be able to look back and think "i lived one exciting and boring life" and just enjoy the memories. Thatll be enough for me, this movie rly teaches a lot the more i watch it. Its all about finding peace and happiness with whatever hand youre given. Mr robinson turning bsck into his old self slowly over the course of the movie was nice. It always makes me think about how much old people have experienced in their lives.
