Is the guide feed repairable? My guide on the pool ripped in a section or is my only option buying a whole new cover

How much rope do you need and where do you order it?
@daelanprete3542 ай бұрын
Depends on where you are located. West coast I would reach out to mizu pool covers. Mid west reach out to CoverStar Central. Typically rope repair kits are 150’. That works for a 20’x50’

can i do a rope repair on apc undertrack system where the ropes are sewn into the cover or do i have to replace the entire cover?
@BillDeimling5 ай бұрын
But that doesn’t fix the problem. It only allows for it. When you open the pool again, it unwinds the same inches that you gained and it gets back to the beginning and it’s out of alignment again. What am I missing?

This video is amazing thank you for making it. I just finished repairing my pool cover myself. I found a really good way to loosen the shim underneath the track was to use 2 metal putty knifes and a screw driver. I used a putty knife with a really thin blade first and tapped it in with a hammer. Then I wedged the second putty knife behind that and tapped it in with a hammer. Then I put the screwdriver in between the two putty knives, tapped it in with a hammer, and pried gently on the shim. I repeated this process two or three times working my way along the shim and then I was able to pull it out with my hands.

The cover isnt actually as strong as it seems. If you were to put the 4x4 in there without the cover it would easily sink because of the holes and the fact that it only has 4 first contact points. Although. When a material is added to the top of the watter the material turn the watter into more of a solid. Since the tires wont let the material slip under them due to there grip the surface area is turned basically turned into a solid surface under the hole 4x4. Also. Since it is a pool. When the 4x4 goes on the cove there is nowhere to displace the watter. Except through everywhere around the 4x4 when the watter goes upward. Think about it this way. If you have a pitcher full of watter and you slowly put your hand in it in the shape of a fist you will notice that the farther down your hand goes in the pitcher of watter the harder it will get to push your hand further. So with that big of a surface pushing down on the watter it will make the watter press upward more on the surface that is pushing down. Due to the size of that pool after that 4x4 pushed down in the watter through the cover about 1 through 1.5 feet it would cancel out a bit of the wait of the 4x4. And when I say a bit I mean about 1500 pounds. Maybe more. Its prob hard for people to understand what I'm saying. Lol. Although I have to say. The cover isnt able to hold 2200 pounds by itself. Maybe it could. So to prove that it really could I would like to see them do this again but without the watter in the pool.
@shredditsbiking4 жыл бұрын
I also forgot to mention that the watter is pushing up towards the cover around the 4x4 while the cover around the 4x4 is not letting the watter go any higher. So if there were no water I. That pool I would expect the pool cover to only be able to hold 600 pounds. Maybe less. Which is still inpressive.
