Great video! I just came across your content and have been hooked! I am a subscriber and will now be going through all of your videos. Question for you as it relates to this particular video... You talked about outsourcing services that you currently may not offer. For example I am in the process of starting my real estate photography business, but due to new strict licensing requirements in my area I prefer to not operate drones myself. I would prefer to outsource that. So my question is if I plan to outsource this service would you recommend that I include the drone package on my website, but upcharge it and then pay the drone operator that I outsource and pocket the difference? Just wanted to gauge which approach would work best for outsourcing. Thank you in advance for your response!

Once you have found a service provider that can produce the content you require at a cost that is suitable, certainly advertise the service on your website. Ideally you do want to charge a premium for this.

Yes the good Old days of the Ekka. It's a wonder they haven't taken that away from people or cut costs to having like half a show or something. Enjoy it while we still have it. Next that will be gone.

Hi Dave, when shooting real estate with a micro 4/3 camera, do you use a wide-angle lens? Currently, I own a 12-35mm Lumix lens. Is that sufficient for shooting real estate videos?
@DaveDwyer3 жыл бұрын
Hi Lauren, definitely need a wide angle lens. The 12-35mm is not wide enough. I recommend the Lumix 7-14mm or the Olympus 7-14mm f2.8 (even better).

Congrats Dave on your 10 year anniversary shooting videos. It is obvious that you love what you do and as a real estate agent, I agree with Tom that incorporating videos in your marketing can have a positive impact on your brand and business. Continued success to you both.

Nice Video..thanks for sharing...Drones aren't just a gimmick or a toy - they are legitimate aerial photography workhorses that allow you to create photos from a completely different perspective. Our time-lapse cameras Melbourne are the perfect option to showcase your site or event and allow you to access footage at any stage throughout the project. For details visit: droneifa.com.au/

Dave, great video. Are you on autofocus or manual focus?

Manual :) I typically find focus by half pressing shutter in AF, then switching to manual to lock it in.

Looking forward to be let in on the secret! How do you find the Ronin S in comparison to the Ronin M ? (Following you from South Africa)
@DaveDwyer4 жыл бұрын
I think I prefer the Ronin M - it just felt more solid and reliable. That said, the Ronin S works wonderfully but it requires a little more care and effort i.e. ideally needs to be auto-tuned using the app before use every time.

thanks so much. your explaination why shooting with a cell hone is exactly where i am at. i use pro drenalin to stablise my videos. could i use normal software to edit the videos from a cell phone or is there a chance that i would lose a lot of quality thanks
@DaveDwyer4 жыл бұрын
If normal software is something like Premiere Pro, your footage will be fine :)

Great video! How were you able to see through the windows so clearly without making the interior dark? I have been battling this for so long! I shoot on a Canon 70D fyi
@elombekisala9414 жыл бұрын
The time of day plays a huge factor. Cloud coverage/overcast is the best to avoid large amounts of sunlight peeking through the windows. Also look into ND Filters for those really bright days. Pretty much sunglasses for your camera lens
@DaveDwyer4 жыл бұрын
It's a constant battle for the ideal exposure. Every room poses new challenges as does the time of day. There is no set rule for all. It's really just a case of finding a balanced exposure that doesn't blow out the highlights and/or make the shadows too dark and unworkable in post. It doesn't always work either - so be sure to shoot alternative angles/perspectives just in case.
