Gordon's dislike for taking the picnic express kind of doesn't make sense as it is not trucks which he hates, and he usually loves pulling the express. He was happy enough to pull the queen's train in ''Paint Pots and Queens'' the twentieth episode of the fourth series, which was an important train too.

4:40 If Spencer The Silver Engine was so cross that he pressed the brakes so hard, banged on the coaches made a hole and leak on them, while the passenger is wearing boots 🥾 with laces on them, and need a bootlace right away, this episode would be called "Spencer and the Bootlace (Spencer Learns A Lesson)"

This was something special. This story had real weight, and the way you executed it was shockingly cinematic. The music you chose and its placement really elevated this; that slow opening, and the Duke and Duchess revealing Spencer's fate before the narrator even says a word, is SO classy. I love what you do with the camera in this; the cinematography matches the mood beautifully. And it's great to see Edward console Spencer, just as he's always done for everyone else. More than anything else, that signifies that Spencer has officially entered into the Sodor family. Masterful work here!

If this takes place between Thomas & the Trucks and Thomas & the Breakdown Train Henry would have been blue then... Not sure if Thomas and the Breakdown Train was James's first day on the railway but the black James is correct for this story.
