I have heaps of photo's of it i can send you ? I had the fuel pump and injectors done built the battery boxes the stainless covers , the fuel tank backets ect it was imaculate when i sold it

Heureux de vous revoir avec le LK 141, moi en France j' ai conduit un LB 141 de 1985 a 1991, ensuite un Scania 143 puis un Scania 142 intercooler, ce sont de très bon véhicules avec un bon ds 14 V8.

Hey James been waiting for this vid 👍a mate of mine told me a trick ay . When you’ve finished back flushing the block get rag and an air line and do the same pumping air into her . I did it recently with one of my truck engines , I was amazed how much more brown crap came out ! Love ya vids and the music too . Regards aj

Hello James. Greetings from Switzerland! Love the Aussie spec 141 (LKT) with set forward front axle, unlike the EU-Spec LBT 141. I myself have a 1986 142E, its direct successor. Great work you are doing, keep the videos coming! Thanks Dave

Just awesome, to see these old pieces of Australian Transport History. In Holland, our Company used the V8 SCANIA,S to Arabia and Russia. Long distance destinations and very reliable trucks, drivers / operators were 3 to 6 weeks on the road, before coming home safely. Greetings from Dordrecht, Holland. 👍🎥📺👍

Splendid and reliable trucks, those V8 models of SCANIA in several configurations. My old uncle, who lived in Port Hedland, Western Australia used them in Road Train and Heavy Haulage. His units were in 6 x 4 and 8 x 4, with sleeper, conventional and cabovers, these models build up Australia. Greetings from Dordrecht / Holland the Netherlands. Keep up with Transport History. 👍🌝👌👋

G,day mate i like your 141 and its fantastic condition really for age , its bloody tidy really ,, ok inside a brothel, keep using pressure wash on carpets like a chisel to push an lift dirt from carpets , tip go into Godfrey vacuum shop an ask for pullman carpet cleaner, theres nothing it will not clean including very heavy greasy engines too , but read mixing ratio , because it mixs at ratio for basic dirt from 200 to 1 ratio, yea strong shit

Hello i just discovered your channel and i love it. I'm 17 years old and my dream is to do a project like this one day. I love old trucks of all brands but prefer Scania. i'm doing now alredy 2 jears apprenticeship as a truck mechanic in a Scania workshop. I have now seen a very great offer for a Scania 141 with only relatively little rust for €6,500 km unknown and I have fallen in love with it 😂. But I have big concerns that I could already master the project. Such a project is not cheap and would have asked for a lot of help, fortunately my boss has still worked a lot with this truck and would certainly help me, but i would like to do it mostly on my own. I wish you Luck with your project and nice to see the progress. Best wishes Kilian 👍

Great job so far👍👍 The compressor looks brand new innside out👍 Trace the brake pedal linkage from the firewall and twords the frame. I had the same problem on mine truck. The brake pedal did not return proper. Lube up the linkage joints that runs along the frame rail twords the brake valve, and pump the brake pedal so it looses up. 😊

James, I work for Scania at Campbellfield. I also worked there when these were sold. The truck is in surprisingly good nick. It is an early LKT because it has trilex rims. It runs very well. The only issue is the rust in the cab but otherwise it looks good. Where did the truck come from?? Good luck with it.

G'day Greg, Are you in parts? I may have rung you before for some 1 series bits. It's a 78 model. What year did Scania change to the standard spider rim? It is all there. A lot of rust though. I bought it from an excavations mob in Beveridge. Before that I have been told it was around Ballan. That's about all I know about it. When I've got it in a driving condition I'll drop into Campbellfield 👍

@@jtbhire Thanks James. Yes I work in parts and still do after 35+ years so i know a bit about them I guess. The standard Malco american style rims came in in 1980. Now some of the parts are getting hard to get. Body parts in particular are gradually becoming obsolete. However there are some options. i look forward to seeing you one day. So call in and say hello.
