Cursive can be challenging and enjoyable to learn. I'm not sure, if you're living in America. But, in some states, they're bringing cursive back to school. Just curious, since nowadays, cursive isn't really required - why do you wanna learn it ? If you don't mind, here's some tips: If you're able, try gripping the pencil in a different way. There's a senior lady on KZbin, who's an excellent teacher for proper grip. Also, try writing with your arm and shoulder. I noticed, you're writing with your fingers. With these 2 adjustments, it might help in your goal, for better looking cursive. And of course, with added consistent practice.

I am in America. I don't have a great reason for wanting to learn, I just think it's a skill every adult I knew growing up knew how to do and it feels strange to be an adult and not know how. I believe I had one unit on cursive in school but that was in 3rd grade, and then it just completely disappeared from there. I hope they are bringing it back! I appreciate the tips! I kind of fell off on working on it because I was a bit discouraged so I am happy to try those tips. I really appreciate you taking the time to share, and I'll look up that teacher for sure!

@@letterstoyouasmrHi again. I know it's easy to get discouraged, when you don't see immediate results. For me, I started to journal in cursive, and it improved over the years. I just had to ignore, how ugly it looked in the beginning 😂 The senior lady is Barbara Nichol. A cursive and calligraphy expert. She mentions, writing with the fingers. But, when I see her fingers - it doesn't move. Her whole hand is. I see when you're writing in print, you're fingers do not move, as when you're writing in cursive. Anyhow, she offers excellent advice. She also has a penmanship book, that might be worthwhile to get.

@@SpringNotes Journaling in cursive is a great idea. I journal (in regular print) pretty regularly anyways, so I bet that would help with progress. And thank you for the name! I'm going to check her out! I don't know why I'm here on KZbin and yet it never occurred to me to look up cursive writing tips on KZbin 😂

Thank you! I understand about the self affirmations. I have felt that way before too. I think sometimes we have to just tell ourselves nice things about ourself until we start to believe them.

I’m always excited when youtube recommends me a very small channel like yours, because in my experience, I enjoy the quality and production so much more. They have simple, realistic sounds that is harder to find now! This is the casual asmr I heard growing up that made me find the community in the first place, probably around 10 years ago now. All to say, keep up the good work you’re doing. I’m glad to have a new channel to sleep to ❤️
