We should have made Tenfold and the Stoned Age clip the beginning of the album, first song is like one of the weakest, TenFold and The Everlinging Tell you Who we were right away, and My Day will Come is an epic ending with my Power Ballad intros as was Settle for Less, wonder where Mike and Killswitch Engage got that idea....

@@AMPHETASAUR Did you or anyone else ever notice us using the ending for "Battery" by Metallica for the end of "To Overcome"? I did that on purpose and can't remember if anyone said anything.... I thought it would be a funny tribute. When I wasn't ending songs like Iron Maiden, as I think that was supposed to be at first.
@goatmanindustries71829 ай бұрын
23:20 that intro for that track fucking genius
@KelticKabukiGirl8 ай бұрын
We should have made that and that song the first song on the album. I wrote most of this sans lyrics but the Song order wasn't great. We put both "epics" on the end like Iron Maiden or Metallica would have. BUT yeah, the Stoned Age sample is fucking awesome and the timing when they punched in the tracks is perfect. All the Melodies were very Iron Maiden-inspired. Even the Recording Engineer said that part sounds a lot like Maiden. It was heavily influenced by the Piece of Mind era. I was the biggest Metalhead of the band, but love the Emo Bits Kevin put under my 80s Power Ballad intro on the last track. It makes it sound like Sunny Day Real Estate at first. Also glad he used a proper tube amp tone to counter my Digital Diareah from the 93 Digitech Legend II processor preamp and SS power rack I had. Yeah Tenfold was a crowd favorite along with My Day Will Come. We gigged with Overcast a few times and Mike D had our recordings, I gave them to him when they played with us and Shadows Fall in Lancaster before they broke up and Mike Started Killswitch and before Brian joined Shadows Fall and their first singer started All That Remains. He was very thankful for new music in the tour van after months of the same cassettes and knew he had to listen to it a lot. I was Overcast influenced, and then it seemed like Mike was influenced by us to write their more Emo and Power Ballad-tinged KSE material. Especially the first few releases. We had a melodic influence on Unearth too, many shows Cossman did were Dollar off with a canned food donation or a Metal TShirt. I always leaned in hard with the Metal influences despite what other bands were doing.
@KelticKabukiGirl9 ай бұрын
I wish I hadn't gone with DIgitech and solid state Power amps back then, my tone might have been better on the STF album that year. This entire production sounds awesome, Kinda reminds me of Overcast, like a LOT like Overcast. Like if Overcast put out an album after their last release. Some Cave In too, just more Blastbeats, we must have had similar influences. Surprised I never heard this before, or at least remember it. Hell we could have gigged together for all I know.😅 Overcast has to be the most underrated Metalcore band of all time. You can hear in this how influential they were.

I am seriously considering reforming SInce the Fall, with or without the other members. I can handle vocals and guitar at the same time now. Just need 3 amazing musicians to get going, and I have 25 more years of material and experience. I wrote all of this sans the lyrics so, I own it. WE broke up due to SKinhead Drama due to our ex drummer. THey caused riots and we couldn't play our hometown. WE were in talks with EUlogy after taking Unearth on thier first tour but we fell apart in 2000. I started a New BAnd Called Duke Hellington in 2001, an abusive ex and a baby trap fucked that up by 2005. It was like DIllinger on Acid pLaying LUney Tunes music. a Decade ahead of our time. If I could FIND any of the members I would try to restart the band. I wrote 95% of all the music sans the lyrics. I was the lead guitarist and can sing but att the time not while playing. SHould I just reboot the band and find new musicians? Dillinger was all Ben the 20 years they were together, we gigged with them a lot including the Relapse scouting show. THank you soo much for the support, I ended up working myself into disability and music is all I can do now. Where did you see or hear us first? you from PA or New England?
