I personally like the light in the front to show off the fish. You could always get another light for the back so the plants don't suffer, although a bunch of them look like low light plants. Hey thanks for sharing love it!

Looks like you have hard water? I say that only because of the plants your using and how much they are flourishing! Looking great friend keep it up! You still have too many Rainbows? And where are you located Lumpydog?

Yes, I have hard water and keep the same handful of plants that do well for me. I'm in southeast Michigan.

@@kilrkitty0818 yes I heat the tank to 75F. The Daisy’s rice fish need it warmer than the medaka rice fish.

I have a quick question, I just got a bichir yesterday, he isn’t that active, do you know why?

I’m no expert. My bichir is active 1/3 of the time and relaxing the rest of it. They are ambush predators and like to have hides. Mine hides in the plants. I’m not a fan of bichirs in bare tanks with no decorations or plants. I hope this helps.

@@Sleepy_hd the appropriate temperature for axolotl is lower than the bichir, be careful with your temperature. A cold bichir will be sluggish. A warm axolotl will die. Good luck.
