I don't believe that the left axle turns. Thats why there are bearings in the hub, so it can rotate on the shaft. You will have to run a cross shaft from the center, then to the left wheel, then tie it into the wheel. Also by removing the pedal assembly you render it illegal as a motorized 'bicycle'.

That part is the evaporator, condensor is infront of the radiator. It's really not that hard to remove and replace, follow the correct factory service manual and it tells you step by step what to do. This doesn't mean the Haynes or Chilton... Those are park brake lines. It is fairly easy to see where these things go. You can move them a bit if you need to, but there is a spring they hook into so that both sides balance pressure fairly evenly. Brake lines go down the driver side, fuel lines are all on the other side of the car. Use a thin cutoff wheel on a 5 inch or 6 inch grider to cut the FRP body, preferably a cordless grider with a slower rotating speed.
