i love this trick. one way to confuse the spectator(s) and throw him away from the solution, is to stay with your head turn away and to tell him to call for you the cards that remain in his hands. you don't realy need to know the cards but you count in your head how many left.

That's really cool, and yes, in the beginning it can be tricky but as soon as we memorize the possible outcomes it'll be easy to perform and hard to the expectator figure out the trick. Thanks for sharing!

I like this trick. And I'm fooled. You start showing all cards. My focus always is on the top and bottom cards. I assume every trick has a key card and i want to focus on my presumed key card. 2Diamonds on the bottom. And you cut the cards. Oh yes, that 2 Diamonds is the key. I focus on that cut deck. Then you count the cut cards, placing that 2 Diamonds on the top. To my surprise, when you revealed the mate, that top card was not the 2 Diamonds. It was the Ace of Hearts. How? There must have been two cards stuck together. Come to think of it, I never saw any red Aces when the cards were face up. Did anyone count to make sure there were 52 cards?
