FINAL SONG... Fr. Sterne: Well, it’s been a wonderful week, and it’s not yet over, but this musical almost is. (music) As we reach the end of the week, Mem’ries float right by like the creek. Seems like just yesterday we were learning to play With a “whoosh” aimed just right at your co-Michaelite. (oh-oh-oh) Whoosh, whoa, boing, St. Mike’s Zips past like Huffy bikes. Whoosh, whoa, boing, St. Mike’s Has sent us soaring Up to the heav’nly zone, Up where we need no phone. Whoosh, whoa, boing, goes St. Mike’s! As you shed your closing-day tears, Offer thanks for thirty blest years. May the Lord guide your way as you live day to day With the prayers you’ll recite as a true Michaelite. (oh-oh-oh) Whoosh, whoa, boing, St. Mike’s Zips past like Huffy bikes. Whoosh, whoa, boing, St. Mike’s Has sent us soaring Up to the heav’nly zone, Up where we need no phone. Whoosh, whoa, boing…goes St. Mike’s!

Second number, to Beauty and the Beast Fr: Conf’rence of St. Mike’s Never will turn “mod”. Disney’s going woke, But I survived my stroke Through the grace of God. Mrs: Months and months of prep, Prayers upon the knee. Then the priests begin Shriving ev’ry sin. Both: Father and Miz G. Mrs: Ev’ry year the same, Never a surprise, No one will be told What his pockets hold. You’ll discern his lies. Fr: Conf’rence of St. Mike’s Shines just like a light; Morning Prayer and Mass, Then it’s off to class, Where you’ll learn I’m right. Mrs: Certain as a duck Isn’t earned for free, Incense wafts right up, Prayers for our sweet pup, Both: Father and Miz G. r: Clergy smoking pipes, Mrs: Smells like old St. Mike’s. Both: Father and Miz G.

So glad I got to catch this! Normally I work until 5:30, but Holly had a dental appointment. We came home and she wanted to watch KZbin on my phone. As soon as I opened the app I saw it was live. Thanks Father!

Nice job. And a further asset is that they used the words of the 1940 Episcopal hymnal.

Such a delightfully gothic, bloody, ominous hymn. I found versions with strings or delicate keyboards, but this song really requires the full weight of an ancient organ as in this video.

1 Teach me, my God and King, in all things Thee to see, and what I do in anything, to do it as for Thee. 2 To scorn the senses’ sway, while still to Thee I tend; in all I do be Thou the Way, in all be Thou the End. 3 All may of Thee partake; nothing so small can be, but draws, when acted for Thy sake, greatness and worth from Thee. 4 If done t'obey Thy laws, e’en servile labors shine; hallowed is toil, if this the cause, the meanest work divine.

"Songs of thankfulness and praise, Jesus, Lord, to Thee we raise, Manifested by the star To the sages from afar; Branch of royal David’s stem In Thy birth at Bethlehem; Anthems be to Thee addressed, God in man made manifest. Manifest at Jordan’s stream, Prophet, Priest, and King supreme; And at Cana, wedding guest, In Thy Godhead manifest; Manifest in power divine, Changing water into wine; Anthems be to Thee addressed, God in man made manifest. Manifest in making whole Palsied limbs and fainting soul; Manifest in valiant fight, Quelling all the devil’s might; Manifest in gracious will, Ever bringing good from ill; Anthems be to Thee addressed, God in man made manifest. Sun and moon shall darkened be, Stars shall fall, the heavens shall flee, Christ will then like lightning shine, All will see His glorious sign: All will then the trumpet hear; All will see the Judge appear; Thou by all wilt be confessed, God in man made manifest. Grant us grace to see Thee, Lord, Present in Thy holy Word; Grace to imitate Thee now, And be pure, as pure art Thou; That we might become like Thee At Thy great Epiphany And may praise Thee, ever blest, God in man made manifest.

I always enjoy seeing services in your church. Its beauty has not been molested by the "fervor of reform,' or whatever that ugliness is called today. The classical and stately prayers of the old PB, and your homilies, Father, are a comfort and an inspiration in these days of trial. Godspeed, Good Father !

Listening to this service for the third time today. It is certainly good to hear old Anglican Chant again. (That is the way I learned the canticles... by Anglican Chant.) I have not heard that for more than 40 years. Your people have a treasure; I hope they appreciate it. Thank you for all you do.

1 Teach me, my God and King, in all things thee to see, and what I do in anything, to do it as for thee. 2 All may of thee partake; nothing can be so mean, which with this tincture, "for thy sake," will not grow bright and clean. 3 A servant with this clause makes drudgery divine: who sweeps a room, as for thy laws, makes that and the action fine. 4 This is the famous stone that turneth all to gold; for that which God doth touch and own cannot for less be told.

1 My God, accept my heart this day, and make it always thine, that I from thee no more may stray, no more from thee decline. 2 Before the cross of him who died, behold, I prostrate fall; let every sin be crucified, and Christ be all in all. 3 Anoint me with thy heavenly grace, and seal me for thine own, that I may see thy glorious face, and worship near thy throne. 4 Let every thought and work and word, to thee be ever given; then life shall be thy service, Lord, and death the gate of heaven.
