This is great to see that gas safe are trying to make themselves approachable. Thanks for posting this content. I think I would be a little fearful of asking for guidance before seeing these videos. Nice one

Denso tape, came across an iron installation in Australia, buried in the earth 60 years 50 meters length. Wraped in denso tape. all except for 1 inch. completely rotted through. but the rest wrapped looked spanking brand new.

fantastic, please could you go over high and low level ventilation. gas rating, started using the phone app and almost imediately forget how to do it the old way.

You will have to contact the HSE they will be able to request your landlord to provide these documents.

Hi, for the virtual inspection you will need working audio and a microphone to communicate with the presenter. Most devices, whether laptop or tablet should come with speakers and a microphone built into the device. We recommend that you check your device to ensure both audio and microphone are in working order before the virtual inspection. I'd like to know about the building construction, is the cavity to the sides and above the meter box open or sealed.? Example, if i took the meter box out, would i be able to see up the cavity. I ask because there are a lot on the estate where i live. One customer of mine has a Permali Meter Box that has a hole in the top and lead to and from the meter. Cadent came out and said it was OK.... but I would like this looked into please... (528286) I have looked at TB136.

As a gas tutor I was looking to send a link out to my students as I thought this sounded like a good learning resource. I'm afraid I'm very disappointed by the lack of detail and some glaring omissions in the discussion of open flued ventilation. Adventious air/date house was built/checking vents with a gradated vent stick, not a screwdriver and it goes on.

The sign that ‘we are safe in our home’ strange then that Cadent Gas vans carry your logo, did the atrocious work in this video that was unwanted, unwarranted and could have cost us our lives and property. Why don't you just have an OBVIOUS link on the gas safe site to simply check an engineer's reg. number. Why do I have to wade through adverts and watch a video to do this!!!??? Ridiculous. I DO NOT WANT TO 'talk through topics' - I want to check on registration number.

@@GasSafeRegister - I was trying to give you some feedback about your web page. When one looks for a link to verify an engineer by reg number one initially sees just a button with the option to FIND an engineer by post code but not by name or number. It’s not obvious that the other half of the button when clicked only then has the option to check by number. Perhaps have two separate buttons - one for FIND the other for CHECK?
