Does the Canyon come with basic cruise control? Love the look. I have achilles tendon issues and need cruise control to give my tendon a rest. I thought I heard it does not. Is that true? Thanks!

Hi there! Thanks for your question about the GMC Canyon. This Canyon in particular has Adaptive Cruise Control, which automatically adjusts the vehicle's speed to match the flow of traffic. It's super comfy! If you are looking for just basic cruise control, then it is optional on some models.😊

@boyergmajax Thank you! I only said basic cruise control because I heard some mention that it did not have adaptive cruise control. I have read on a few forums that the Canyon and Colorado lack cruise control, but the one post said it lacks adaptive cruise control. It may have just been the particular model this person reviewed. Thanks for clearing this up. I'm looking at full side Dodge and Chevy pickups and also the Canyon to buy or lease in a few years once my current lease is up. I had concerns about the Canyon because of the lack of cruise and some complaints about the lack of a telescopic steering wheel, but I am 6'3" with long arms so I wouldn't take advantage of the steering wheel adjustment. I always leave it at its farthest position. I like the fact that the Canyon is large for a mid size, which makes it easier in tight areas since it's not quite as big as a true full size truck. It also seems plenty powerful. How is the transmission/shifting? I appreciate your review. Thanks.

@@Bognerman14 No problem at all! We're always happy to answer any questions. And that's interesting! You may have been hearing reviews about the regular AT4 not having adaptive. In regards to the transmission, the vehicle has great power for its size as the turbo makes up for the smaller displacement. The transmission shifts clean even after a year and a half of owning my AT4. 👍

Where did you get those side steps? I have a 2024 GMC Canyon AT4X with the rocker protector. I'm looking for those side steps to have installed while keeping the rocker protector.

If you would like to look into them further, the parts numbers are: 84808889 - Front Steps, & 85158582 - Rear Steps. At this time, where we are located, they add up to roughly $1,500. Buyer beware: I just had my fourth "Check Engine" light come on after leaving the dealership for a fix on the third event. Those issues along with a tow for a dead battery cell. I bought it new off the lot and am done with it after 4,300 miles. It's a good looking truck, but I need something that is reliable. Oh, and don't let me forget about the flickering headlamps. That's the least of my worries, but owning my 2024 GMC Canyon AT4 has been a nightmare. I'm moving on.

Being able to two 10,000 lbs is one thing, but if you're hauling a trailer, the big question is how far can you go with all that wind resistance and extra load? Towing over long distances is the Achilles' heel of EV Trucks. Plus in most cases, you would have to unhitch your trailer to charge. For driving around town, fine. Your "gas station" is your garage that charges your vehicle overnight.

I been driving a 2023 Nissan 4x4 Diesel. Great at first. But thier Transmission s. Again Junk ! Like the Cars. From 2008! 😮. Dodge Dakota won't be out till 2025. Ugh. Had 10 Dakotas. Ranger is Ugly and Junk. Had many 83-90. Hopefully This Truck comes with a Clean burning Diesel. But the GMC version is a better ride.

Wish they still had the V6 option. I'm skeptical long term of the 4 banger turbo lasting. Same goes for the one they're putting in the full sized trucks. I like the updated interior, though.

Nice looking trucks. But when you go to trade in a Canyon or Colorado you will wish you bought the Tacoma. Resale on the Tacoma is a lot higher than these GM POS products.

My 2024 Canyon Elevation (1150 miles) has been in the shop for almost 2 weeks now. Roof dented from the car wash blower (known issue) and there are 2 oil leaks, one of which involves dropping the transmission to fix. A part needed is on backorder. There have also been other issues, such as mis-aligned doors and warning lights activating such as the adaptive cruise control and check engine. I have asked GMC to replace the truck, and they have told me to pound sand.

I took delivery of the 2024 Canyon Denali on March 8th and absolutely enjoy the ride and the response of the Turbo max 2.7. I’m 77 years old and this is the first GMC truck I’ve ever owned ( I’ve been a Toyota fan, until recently) so far I’ve put 2800 miles on this truck, looking forward to many more. Thanks

Just got mine 4 days ago and I absolutely love it. I was waiting for the 24 Tacoma's and after seeing the pricing, I was turned off. My Canyon Elevation has everything a Tacoma has that would cost $57,000 for the steal of $37,500 with a sunroof. The ride is amazing and with the 2" factory lift, the stance is perfect. A 2WD that has the look of a 4WD. The wheels are Badass as well. If your on the fence, test drive one and you will be sold.

I grew up in a GM family, have owned a bunch and never had a bad one. But, I’ve had good luck with 3 Fords and 5 Toyotas too. Currently own a 2024 Grand Highlander I-Max, a 2017 Rav 4, a 2017 Camaro SS. Lucky? Or maybe it’s a simple case of taking care of them?
