As a very Young Drummer in the early 80s (I was 12-13 when this show was recorded)……this is one of the circuses I wanted to runaway with!!!

We pretty much snuck in. That's how it was done back then. They were not fenced or patrolled. I'm sure they are all sealed off now.

'83 was the zenith year for the Tubes. More than a decade of hard work paid-off and the band was at the top of their game. I saw the Outside Inside tour in Toronto in June of that year. It was an outdoor venue and it began raining heavily during The Plimsouls opening set. It never stopped raining yet very few left as they all wanted to see the Tubes. The songlist was heavy on the Backward Completion and Outside Inside albums, awesome show in all the Tubes cabaret glory.

I miss Albert - offkey as he is; singing this song - such great character in his voice, At least he is really singing (Taylor Swift, Don Hendley - take note)

fantastic to hear this - thanks - where was this recorded and when?
@UltraKlutzJeff2 ай бұрын
This is late 1972 somewhere in upstate New York. First lp was recorded in late 1971 and second lp recorded late 1972, which explains why they are playing the Red and the Black instead of I'm On the Lamp in 1972.

It's a shame that the video masters weren't preserved so they could be remastered into HD, nonetheless, this is an amazing set of music by some masters of the 80's

I can’t believe I didn’t know you had a channel! UltraKlutz, Father & Son, Through the Habitrails, and Colonia are all amazing. I finally got around to watching Severance and wondered what you’d make of it. I’d say you were an inspiration. Thanks for all of the great comics, man! Lots of media to consume these days but all of your stuff has stuck with me for decades and gets re-read/new attention almost every year.

Thank you, I have read about Severance and very curious about how "Habitrails" it is but have not found it on the three stream services that I use. Looks like it only on Apple TV for now? Maybe it will share to another streamer eventually. Glad you for found my channel, appreciate the comment!

The Robinsons did a lot of planet hopping it seems. While watching never thought about how many planets they traveled to. Dimensions were another type of travel.Season three the Jupiter looked as if always on the move. The forbidden world became unforbbiden after the encounter with Mr.Tiabo and his gorilla like bird monster. 👍🇭🇲🦘🐨✌️

Had dinner with BOC in 2003. Blaine, WA. They were playing at the old Dakota Creek Roadhouse up there and we wound up walking into the same Mexican Restaurant they were dining in before the show. I saw them as soon as I walked in. I did not bother them. They looked tired and were eating so, I felt it would've been rude. Me and my buddy sat at another table and I made eye contact with Eric. I flashed him the metal horns and he smiled. Then got up and walked right over to our table and says" You going to the show?" We said yes and he invited us to their table. Totally blown away. As we got to the table, all of them stood up to greet us. Allen even gave us hugs. Buck had a mouth full of food and kept sayin "sit down and eat, sit down and eat" LOL. What friendly guys. I felt bad cos I didn't really know their newer drummer or bass player at the time but they made themselves known and were fucking awesome guys. After a few jokes and drinks, I asked Buck if "Last Days" was a true story and he said yes but their were so many details left out. Then the bomb dropped. Eric picked up on my accent and asked if I was from the east coast. I said "born and bred in Jersey" and they started breakin my balls and yelling and someone even threw chips at me, LOL. I know it was Eric, he pulled it off great while sitting there, smirkin at me. They paid for everything. All the food and drinks. Eternally grateful. Me and my buddy Brad felt so honored. We followed their vans to the venue. Helped 'em unload. They had roadies but pretty much unloaded their own stuff. Buck said he rarely lets others carry his guitars but I got to take two from him, inside. They kicked major ass for almost 2 solid hours. They even dedicated ME262 to me, cos I begged Eric to do so. LOL, he kept sayin "No way, man! Can't do it" LOLOL....the fucker actually dedicated it to me. Felt like a God. Allen was quite talkative through the evening, even during the set. May he rest in peace. It's a memory I'll take to the grave and beyond. Forever on my feet or on my knees for the mighty BOC.

Despite whatever changes they made season to season it was barely noticed. For each season there were always changes to accommodate the episode. It is obvious that the interior of the ship has a different dimension than the exterior. It not only has an upper and lower deck but a third also the engine core. 👍🇭🇲🦘🐨✌️

Sir! They J2 technically landed on Earth in the episode with the Proto-Planet. The entire crew landed on Earth, but in 1947. So I would add one full Earth landing and one half Earth landing.
@UltraKlutzJeff7 ай бұрын
All the Earth visits are discussed at a special section at the end, about the 8:00 mark. This has been my most frequent comment, especially with reference to the 1947 episode. I should have titled the video "How Many Planets (Other Than Earth)" ; )
