Hello cowboy church, my name is Danita, my husband and I are watching your video at a friends house of ours from church who put us onto these cowboy church videos who likes them and watches cowboy church videos all the time. Now we watch them all the time with our friend from church. Since my husband and I have been watching these videos with our friend from church, these videos have given my husband and I great inspiration and have really strengthened our faith, as they do our friend who showed us cowboy church videos that we watch them with. Any way I really need to talk to you about some things. I really don't know who else to go to and really don't have anyone else to go to and our friend from church who put us onto these cowboy church videos and who we watch these cowboy church videos with at her house suggested reaching out to cowboy churches for prayer in hopes it would get many praying for my husband and I and for our dire immediate needs, and that's exactly what I'm going to do tonight through the help of my friend, reach out to cowboy churches for prayer. My husband and I are in a very bad way right now, actually we are in bad severe dire straits. I'm in my sixties as is my husband and we are both Christians and have attended church all our lives, we married in 1972 and live in Oklahoma. We have been praying and praying to God together for months now and have gotten no help and no answers and my husband I fear won't be with me much longer. We have had everything you can imagine happen to us in the past year with the past six months being the absolute worst and worst ever in our lives. My husband got cancer almost a year ago and has been fighting it ever since and is not doing good at all now. I feel he's on a downhill slope now and on his way out and this has been unbearable to watch him go through this and what has happened to him and what he's been through. I don't think he will live much longer. My husband had to stop working because of the cancer. I had to quit work to take care of my husband full time and constantly take him to the hospital any time something went wrong and for his treatments. We both lost our parents and all of our family [aunts, uncles, all of our cousin's etc] over the past ten years and we have no children because I was not able to have children. So we literally have no one and are only friends with our Christian brothers and sisters within our church because we are very Christian oriented and want to stay close to Christians and don't associate\make friends with worldly people. Besides my husbands cancer and neither of us working right now and having no one to turn to here is what is going on right now. We both before my husband got cancer had saved money, since my husband got cancer everything has went into so many things associated with the care and treatment of my husbands cancer which has now entirely depleted our savings. We have since had to sale one of our vehicles for more money for things associated with my husbands treatment and care and are down to one vehicle now and have had to sale just about everything of ours of value for care and treatment and things associated with it. We are on the brink of having our electricity and water shut off because we can't pay and we absolutely have to have and need them both. We also have an insurance payment on our car due which we have to have to take my husband to his treatments and the hospital any time he needs to go and to get what groceries we can get which a small rural Christian food center has been helping out with because we can't even afford that. Because of these things we have to do and use our car for to do we cannot afford to be driving the car without insurance. Because if we get pulled over the car would be impounded for no insurance and we would get a big fine for driving with no insurance, both costing a lot to get the car out and pay the fine if that were to happen. Which we wouldn't be able to afford and we would be without a car entirely which we desperately need if that were to happen. Yesterday I really humbled myself and broke down and cried before I went and talked to our pastor having to do this because I've never had to do anything like this in my life and knew I had no choice because of where we're at and the situation we are in, yesterday I went to our pastor at our church and asked him for help with our needs. We go to a small country church with about ten members, all elders, and we live about 8 miles outside of a very small rural country town out in the country. We have always lived in the country and always been country. Our pastor is an elder and does not work and only pastors the church and lives off of what money the church brings in as pay because he owns the church and that's how he makes and has always made a living. When I asked our pastor for help in our situation he said he wouldn't be able to help because the church barely had enough money to keep the lights on and keep him afloat. And all of our members are elders on a fixed income and not in a position to help either and barely make it themselves as I know them all personally and know this. Any way I thanked our pastor after asking him and told him I hope God blesses him and helps him and I left after speaking with him. When I left I drove down to a spot in the country and parked and cried my heart and eyes out feeling like all is lost and that there is no help from no one and nowhere and was absolutely hurt and heart broken knowing I'm going to lose my best friend in life my husband soon. I feel like the walls are closing in on me with no help in sight. We don't even have internet at our home anymore and haven't for some time, I had to come to my friends house of ours from church we watch these cowboy church videos at just to write this. After I set at that spot in the country and cried my heart and eyes out and felt that way and thought about everything I gathered myself and drove home to my husband and friend of ours from church who sat with my husband while I went and talked to our pastor. My stress levels are beyond max as well and causing me health problems now with all that is going on and has happened and is happening. I'm crying out for help with no one to go to and no help in sight. I'm at a loss for everything and don't know what to do. Neither of us have ever been in a situation even close to this in our lives. Our prayers aren't being answered and I'm turning to cowboy churches for prayers and to hopefully get many cowboy churches praying for my husband and I and our immediate dire finacial needs as our friend who put us onto these cowboy church videos we watch them with suggested. Can you cowboy churches and anyone you know or anyone reading this in the comments section please please pray for me and my husband and our immediate serious dire needs right now which would be prayer for help with money so we can take care of and have the things we need immediately? We are about to lose everything literally. I don't know what else to do but to reach out and get a lot of people praying for us for our financial needs and everything we need help with right now and that's what I'm doing. If you cowboy churches could, could you please please pray for us and our financial needs and get others praying for us for our financial need as well and ask God to heal my husband if you can. Thank you so much and we all love these videos. I really wish we had a cowboy church around here as this is how my husband and I have always lived, country. That would be great and we would love that and would sure attend it. This is a great thing you cowboy churches are doing. Please please pray for us and get others praying for us if you can [maybe ask other cowboy churches to pray for us if you have a connection or network of cowboy churches]. We desperately need so many prayers and desperately need God to answer our prayers and come through some how some way to get healing and money to us some way. I know God can do anything! I'm sorry this was so long but I wanted you to know what is going on and happening. If anyone needs to message me for any questions concerning our situation my email address is [email protected]. Thank you so much and God bless you and have a good night.

Carroll Robinson wrote it and recorded this song. Elvis also recorded it. They are both greaat. However, if you are a fan of Elvis, as I am, you can tell the difference.
@tommystormo7 жыл бұрын
@Hazel Levatino No, Carroll Roberson did not write the song. It was written by B. Campbell/M. Curtis in the late 60s, and recorded by Glen Campbell (1970) and Al Martino (1970), and no other known has recorded it before Carroll recorded his version in 2004. But Carroll added an extra vers that he himself wrote before he recored it. No, Elvis never sang this song, not from stage or on record or on any other known time. So you have never heard Elvis sing this song, so you can not tell the differcence. Sorry...

@hazellevatino2284 Updated info: Billie Campbell and Mann Curtiz wrote the song 25th November 1969 with one verse and refrain, sung twice, and recorded days later by Glen Campbell, released 01.01.70. Carroll Roberson recorded his version after writing the new second verse and recorded his version in 2005. So... Elvis died in 1977 and could not sing a song partly written 28 years after he died... He never did sing the original version either...

@@bobwal9 You shall have that "thumbs up"! You are one of the few that get the most correct... :-) But you write on the opening that Carroll Roberson wrote the song... He did not... The song is written by Billie Campbell (Glens wife) and Mann Curtis (one of the names he has used) 25th Nov 1969. One verse and refrain - sung twice, by Glen Campbell in 1970, and also Al Martino same year, Boy Mondragon (1970/71) and maybe several more... The the song was "forgotten", until Carroll wanted to record it in 2004/2005. He thought it was to short, and wrote an extra verse to the song... But I guess we can't really say that he wrote the song... :-) When I mention Elvis, I try to say to the one mentioning Elvis, that Elvis should never be mentioned when this song is the topic, as Elvis never sang or recorded the song... :-)
