I had a family of them, 1 died drowning in the drain, another manage to start to fly short distance, eventually they flew away, I don’t know if the bird made it, but I pray it did

This is heartbreaking! I have a yellow vented bulbul nest on one of my potted plants right now and there are two hatchlings :'C I hope they both make it. I just watched another video where a cat ate both hatchlings and I'm so worried for the birds now. They seem to die really easily

This was such an amazing video! I have a bulbul nest on my plant right now. Sadly, one of the two eggs disappeared somehow. I can’t see how it could have honestly given that I can’t quite see where there would be predators on the 10th floor of a flat. Heart broken along w the parents. I am hoping that the 1 egg remaining does hatch and survive. Ur video was both beautiful and informative! Thank you!

Beautifully done video. I’m on my 3rd yellow vented bulbul rescue. He lost his limb when he was still young. I’m afraid he cannot be release back to the wild. Will make sure that he’ll live a comfortable life.

Hi, i’m glad to have found this video. This happened to our backyard yesterday as well. I saw a chick yellow vented bulbul on the ground, I ignored it at first but you gotta do what you gotta do. So I made a makeshift nest out of cardboard box because the nest was so high over the Bilimbi tree. They make distress calls when I tried fixing the baby’s nest. Made me panicky for a bit but I was determined to not let the baby bird die in our backyard. Hopefully, he/she will survive and become a full adult. The parent birds check on me everytime I get out of my house. Not sure if they think I’m a threat or they are thanking me for saving their chick.
