This is a follow up comment, which will make more sense, if you read the previous one I left on your reaction to Ren’s King Dotta diss, first……my initial opinion of you guys was definitely right! 😂 I hate saying this, because it makes me cringe and feel old…….(I’m approaching my late 40’s, it feels like yesterday I was your age, and I still feel like it in my head!)….but, I’m genuinely relieved to find young guys like you, who are intelligent, self and socially aware, and humble! It’s human nature to judge a situation or person straight away. As we evolved our safety depended on quick decisions, but….to be able to then stick with something, gather more data, and openly adjust your opinion…..is not a trait everyone has….pride prevents growth….to be able to say…I was wrong, or sorry I judged too quick, is a sign of intelligence, because it shows that the person’s desire to seek more information, is more important to them, than their own pride. I’ve worked in the darkest field of criminal psychology, for almost 30 years…..and that, combined with my own mental health struggles, which I first remember affecting me, around the age of 6 or 7, has made me very disheartened, and have little hope for the future of humans and this planet. I worry for my son (21) he’s biracial (I’m referring back to the video I left my first message on) But hearing you guys talk about mental health, with such a rare understanding, for two people who don’t suffer in that way….gives me hope. It’s easy for the likes of me and others who suffer with mental health issues, to empathise and understand Ren, and his message, but most people who don’t suffer in that way, either can’t see it or don’t want to! You have no idea how it made me feel, as someone who has been “dancing” with mental health issue for 40 years, almost not making it at times…but for my son!…to hear one of you, just say the simple words “I feel blessed not to go through that”, made me so happy, because it will make so many people feel validated and seen! Because that’s how I felt. I wish I could talk more with you guys, I have loads more I’d love to say to you both….but I’ve rambled on long enough!
