Is a post a player? They set a screen at the corner closest to hoop correct?

The post is a specific spot on the floor. You have high and low posts. Yes, the low post will set a screen at the corner closest to the hoop.

Can you keep front right setter to be primary instead of back row primary setter ? So you can always have three back defense? Recreational volleyball age 12-16

That volleyball formation is called a 4-2. It's more basic but also gives less offensive strategies.

Can we rotate clockwise and the person coming in the front middle be the setter? Do we really need a permanent setter?

Yes the setters can set to any hitter. The back rows just cannot hit from front of the 10 foot line.

well, at 1:50 in.....NO, you don't keep up with that formation until the point is won/lost. 99.9% of teams Switch to their respective positions after THEY put one ball over the net.

helpful for those starting out. but please watch your use of the words "Hit", as often in this video that word is used when you mean "pass". As we all know, Hitting is not Passing.

Just to make sure anyone watching this video. This is not a traditional 6-2, The "W" is not apart of any 6-2 strategy.

Ok, smarty pants. What is part of the 6-2 strategy then?

AlwaysSunnyInArizona it is indeed not typical, but there's no reason it can't be used that way.

I'm coaching 7th grade girls, public school and have very limited knowledge of these type of offenses / defenses. We are trying to transition to this to keep up with competition and this is a great video. I wish I could see it in action, in a simplistic manner.

i would go with a 4-2 offense with inexperienced 7th graders. focus on passing to front row setter and making 3 hits. dont let them pass th first or second ball over the net. make em pass to th setter n make your front row setter go get every second ball. your team may struggle early on, but in th long run they will get th hang of it and improve.
