What are the dimensions of the screen? How’d the image fit it perfectly? I’ve seen too much white space on most of these unless that was exactly 16 x 9.

Why are you focusing on the numbers the r10 can’t directly measure?😂 The only numbers you should be comparing are the ones it can directly measure like ball speed, club speed, launch angle, and launch direction… The rest is only based off algorithm on the Garmin.

How do you keep the garage cooled off in those hot texas summers?
@gunghogolf Жыл бұрын
Typically we recommend installation of a “minisplit” air conditioner - they’re around $1,200 and another $1,500-$2,000 to install. They will make a garage as comfortable as inside the house. Don’t waste your money on portable AC units (around $300-500) - they’re nowhere near as efficient, barely make a noticeable difference in the temperature, and in our experience stop working after a year or two.

@gunghogolf Жыл бұрын
We use our ultra-premium 3-layer Eagle impact screen material, a one-piece 2.5” channel aluminum tube that doesn’t sag even at 16 feet wide, and a proper weight bar or tube in a sewn hem at the bottom. It took a lot of trial and error to get the combination of materials right.

I setup my enclosure with parts purchased from Gungho last year and I loved it. 2 quick questions: 1. Would it be possible to have velcro sewed to my impact screen? 2) with the setup shown here I wonder how much the ball will bounce back? I had to keep my screen slack quite a bit to minimize ball bounce.

Stick some mattress toppers between the bungees and screen and that ball will hit the screen and drop to the floor

Any advice on what you used for the ceiling baffle on this? I’m having issues with mine. I used a net, but the tension creates a gap between net and the screen so and ball hits off screen and ricochets up into ceiling or lands on top of the net. I’ve tried a wire cable to keep net tight but won’t work.

Contrast ratio seems really low at 10,000:1. A higher contrast would help the low 3000 lumens feel brighter. I’m Not sold on this projector quite yet. Thinking the newly released UHD35STx or 4k400STx may be a better alternative at similar cost. I’m open for your professional opinion. Thanks

My purpose to setup a home theater, rather than golf simulator. I play golf but now I may think about turning it into a golf simulator. Do you sell this retractable screen and motor?

Hi, how far back did you mount the projector to get that image? Thanks.
@gunghogolf2 жыл бұрын
Hi Jono, thanks for watching! We mounted it for the 9' tall image at about 14'6" lens to screen. Could have gone as far back as 17'3" as this projector has optical zoom, but closer is better in most cases. Check it out for any screen size at www.projectorcentral.com/BenQ-TK700STi-projection-calculator-pro.htm.
@elli0tttttttt2 жыл бұрын
@@gunghogolf Hi, at 14'6" Projector Centrals brightness estimate says "36 Nits - Reduce image size. Image brightness is too low", however the Manufacturers Spec option says "71 Nits - Recommended image brightness for rooms with low ambient light". Does the screen have any gain? Or is the Projector Central estimate overly conservative? Thanks

your club data was off to the left because the unit was not properly aligned. It still gave good data otherwise. I have heard great things about this unit, keeping in mind the spin is estimated due to the machine not being able to read spin data.

fantastic setup! many compliments. Can I ask you which impact screen is it?
This is a fantastic setup. I have a couple of questions: 1. How do you prevent the sag in the top EMT bar with such a wide screen? Does the way you have the screen mounted (with the clips and bungees in the back) help with this? 2. Is 7 ft. of depth enough that you don't really worry about a shank either ricocheting off the EMT or missing the enclosure entirely?
@gunghogolf2 жыл бұрын
Thanks Justin. 1. You can prevent sag in longer EMT spans by positioning the tube splicer with its two bolts facing up. 2. 7 ft sides are actually overkill for a 16' wide main screen. This client wanted more protection for grandkids hitting balls and cars in the garage. We typically would use 4.5' sides, and better players can get by with 3.5' sides. A shanked iron will typically hit a 16' screen on the main screen at least 1-2 feet from the corner. A toed wood is the more directly horizontal shot, but rarely seen from decent players. Both shanks are toed shots are typically low velocity compared to a solid strike.
