Make sure you get the software update that fixes some charging issues. It just came out, reference is PIP-02

How do you feel about electric cars or are you more concerned about the problem with finding a working charger? I think about the problem of getting a car from place to place or of road travel all together, I have no interest in owning an electric car, you must be going crazy 28 minutes to wait for a super charger? I had to wait for a long line of cars at my best discount gas station it took 12 minutes to get to the pump and six minutes later the tank was full of diesel fuel. I have a reliable pickup truck that has been with me for 340,000 miles and it’s on its way to one million miles. Your new Toyota car is less than a year old and you have a one to two hours wait to fill up your electric battery pack. I will eventually get a replacement car or pickup truck but I’m not any longer interested in electric cars. Everyone who was driving around during the first oil embargo had to wait in line for one to two hours to get 5 gallons of gas and it was painful but you didn’t have to restrict yourself to one station you got 5 gallon’s here and another 5 there and eventually you got enough to travel for the week. It’s looking like the electric cars are going through a similar problem and eventually everything will work out. But who wants to wait for hours at each location? That’s crazy!

I was on a four and a half hour road trip and I would only have to stop once to charge it should only be about 20 to 30 minutes on a supercharger to get the extra I need to make the trip

We're still in the early stages of EVs. Things will change in two years when Toyota starts shipping cars with solid state batteries with a range of 900 miles and fifteen minute charging times. For now, if you drive more than 250 miles a day EVs probably aren't the thing for you. My BZ4x gets me around town just fine and I only have to charge it at home for a few dollars once a week. What did I give up? Waiting in line at Costco for gas, oil changes, DEQ appointments and the peace of mind not ever having my catalytic converter stolen....twice! Plus, there is virtually no maintenance, just checking fluid levels every now and then. So far I'm loving it.

So the update is I have not done it yet but talk to a Ford service tech who also owns the same vehicle, and told me it would make it the same horsepower as the mustangs with the the four-cylinder, he said with 320 horsepower the mustangs are having some issues with that 4-cylinder turbo he advised not to do it... Unless I drive it easy and don't have my foot in it a lot...
