It is certainly up there! You should make a trip this Autumn. I haven't been in quite a while and have been thinking about going for a few days and do a self-guided retreat.

I grew up in Pasadena/Sierra Madre from 1962-1993 and enjoy my memories of being there. I must say that i have never seen it look so beautiful !

It is beautiful in the Fall. I believe they have still quarantined their community so I don't think you can visit at the moment, but I could be wrong.

My late father was a seminarian novitiate at St Meinrad during the late 30s and early 40s. A blessed place and one that was near and dear to his heart. "Many are called, but few are chosen."

My grandparents old house can be seen in the upper right hand corner of the shot at 2:27 ....the blue tin roofed home near the town cemetery.

@@ChristopherGunn yes! Especially having so much family there. As a kid, I could not wait to 'escape' the small town. Now as an adult I realize just how Blessed I am to have those memories.
