thank you for the big effort, can we apply this on a huge dataset, let's say we need to train 2 months data 2 TB of data maybe, is this solution can still be applicable or we need to do some extra work ?
@aicg9 ай бұрын
Extra work is usually for fine-tuning. Larger datasets are fine to be handled in Snowflake at scale.

What else would you consider using besides tasks to setup your dw fact and dims?
@aicg2 жыл бұрын
Hi Ray, we like to use dbt to setup facts and dimensions. SQS and SNS pipes also work in certain instances. However, this depends on the use case.

Shame that the title was so misleading. It doesn't have any content about Python UDFs in Snowflake. It's a presentation about Java UDFs in Snowflake and using Snowflake (SQL) UDFs in a python code that isn't particularly new or even technically challenging.

Hi Babak, we've got a great blog post on external functions in Snowflake that might explain 👉 medium.com/datalakehouse/working-with-snowflake-external-functions-b960ed565554

Can you pass a parameter to a task ? in Informatica you can load a parameter file
@aicg3 жыл бұрын
@James Bonding, you can use Session Parameters, docs.snowflake.com/en/user-guide/tasks-intro.html#setting-session-parameters-for-tasks. Perhaps a bit different from INFA and I don't think you can load a file into it. But in combination with Snowpark and functions or procedures you could probably get a similar result to what you're doing with INFA.
