Best mod for the airbox is taking the snorkel tube off the top. It's a rubber boot that restricts the flow coming in the airbox. But you'll need to jet the carb leaner to compensate for more fuel! 2 stroke run better with a leaner mix! And the pw80 is super restrictive!!! Taking the baffle out of the exhaust works. But removing the baffle entirely from the exhaust works better!!! Also the exhaust itself. Take it off and fot a big drill bit, a big carbide dremel bit, or a big step up drill bit and drill out the exhaust! When you take the exhaust off you can barely stick your pinky in the exhaust because the hole is so small. Not the port on the cylinder but the actual exhaust itself. Another quick simple mod is deleting the oil pump and actually taking the gear out that is driven by the crank. And run a premix 40:1. One less thing the crank has to spin equals more power

More fuel doesn't equal more power if your fuel air mix is wrong. You probably would have got my power by running it leaner although probably not recommended

im surprised you manage to blow a alt/lt125 motor. those are tough motors. personally if my alts engine blows id put a lt185 motor in it. the lt125 and 185 have the same rear end even the same as the alts so i bet itd go right in. i dont fully hate the idea of engine swaps like these but i wouldnt do one. mainly because no gears and reverse. "mower" engines do good once they are up to speed. but for what three wheelers do its good to have gears.
