It's so weird to see a gravel bike with slick semi-narrow tires. Is this bike for winter conditions?

Awesome build. Was thinking of doing something similar as a crit bike. How do you like it as a race bike?
@Timmerrrrm9 ай бұрын
It’s been great so far. 2 race wins and a few other podiums in the P/1/2 field last year. Managed to not get pulled in 3 ACC p/1 races. It certainly isn’t holding me back.

@Timmerrrrm Would this be a good bike to do a 1/2 an Iron Man, and how would I go about sizing? I found one 55 cm and I'm 5 foot 9.

I see on the SBC site, they say that max tire is only 700x28c. Have you or anybody you know of tried 32mm tires on one?
@Timmerrrrm9 ай бұрын
I have run veloflex Corsa Evo tires in 32c for most of my training last year. Plenty of room in the rear. About 3mm of clearance in the front

I just got the fixed gear version of this frame on FB marketplace can’t wait to give her a tune up & rip her on the road.

I’m thinking about getting this bike. How do you like it with the component upgrades?

Still a big fan. I now have about 12,000 miles on the bike in this exact configuration with no problems. If you do decide to buy, shoot me an email at [email protected] I can get you a discount code.

How is the groupset faring? Would you recommend this?
@Timmerrrrm Жыл бұрын
The groupset is holding up great! I have about 4000 miles on it now with out a single issue. Just raced 2 cross races on it and had no issues with chain drops or the derailleur getting gunked up/miss shifting.

@@Timmerrrrm what cassette and chain have you paired it with?

I am thinking of purchasing the Undfeated frame for my next road bike. However, I will want to do a 2x rather than a 1x. I live in a super hilly area with massive grades and think the 1x would not serve me well on the climbs. I am curious what groupset you used for your buiild.
@Timmerrrrm Жыл бұрын
This was built with a mix of 12s 105 and ultegra Di2. The frame supports both mechanical and electric 2x shifting!

@@TimmerrrrmI don't see the hole in the downtube for a front derailleur cable. Is there routing for mechanical 2x and the brake hose?

Thanks for the review. I just installed the GR9 on my steed, as I wanted to stick with 11 speed. I'm having difficulty trying to find the Trace velo video you mention on weight weenies where there was a screw adjustment that removes "tightness" from the shifter. Can you point me in the direction (video link, and the approximate time in the video this appears)? Appreciate it.

I’m trying to build something similar… could you post a build list? Do you have di2 shifter for both?
@Timmerrrrm Жыл бұрын
Here is a full build thread! weightweenies.starbike.com/forum/viewtopic.php?f=10&t=171358 Both the left and right shifter are di2 and control the RD. That way I can shift the rear even if I have a bottle or gel in my right hand.

How is this groupset holding up after a couple of months?
@Timmerrrrm Жыл бұрын
So far so good. It survived a very sandy/dusty Barry Roubaix that involved a crash that bent my chainring. Haven’t been doing a ton of gravel lately, as it’s crit season right now but this fall it will get put through it’s paces.

What's contributing most to that 8.57kg? The frame?
@Timmerrrrm Жыл бұрын
The frame isn’t light, but nothing on this bike was picked with weight in mind. Heavy bar, stem, bar tape, cassette, rotors, crankset, butyl tubes and very heavy power pedals.

@@Timmerrrrm Thanks! I'm considering getting a complete bike and swap components since this colorway isn't offered as a framset only.

Tim, I would love to know a bit more on how you introduce the metrics into the video?? Also, can't wait for this series to start again. Any idea on dates for 2023?

I use a combo of Dashware and garmin virb. Sadly it looks like these races won’t be happening this year. Working with a few different people on options for a weeknight crit in Cleveland for this summer though!

Are you using a shimano 12 speed cassette with microspline hubs?
@Timmerrrrm Жыл бұрын
No, I am using an Ali express 11-46 HG cassette. I imagine that any 12 speed MTB or gravel cassette will work as long as you use the correct chain and chainring.

Yes, it's the best mod I've done to the car other than the rear sway bar. It makes the car much more throaty and you gain a few hp.
