Down in Puerto Rico they're having problems with the pleco invasion in rivers and streams on the island. They eat the native species, changing the whole ecosystem. Some of the guys catch them and feed stray cats in the area. In Mexico they make fish tacos and fritters with whatever meat they get from the pesky fish.

They survive out of the water x 4 days, stand water w low oxygen levels, can gulp air from the surface. Hard armor, very sharp barbed fins. Almost indestrutible.
