The citizen, casio and fossil are good finds. Timex will never make you a fortune but will sell. I like random bags, but wouldn't risk one this expensive.

I remember when the original "Pulsar" digital watch came out (very similar) and it was exorbitantly expensive! Then like I think it was maybe 10 years later very inexpensive $0.99 LED watches became available - the other end of the financial spectrum :-)

I have a silver one with the green LEDs and the gold with the red, same as yours. I absolutely love the Armitron Griffy. You’d be hard pressed to name another watch that exudes more charm for the money.

I love mine, I like for mine to fit over my jacket it makes it easier to show off and all I have to do is look at my wrist to tell time not pull my sleeve up so the size isn’t a problem for me

I had one in about 78-ish as my first watch. Mine had the race car - identical to yours there. I ate mine - seemed the right thing to do when I was 9 (band was very nibbly). Been looking for ages to find a replacement (which I will not eat as indigestion is way worse in my 50's). Ebay ones are always so poor condition. Would love to have one again - I always thought they were just awesome=looking. Enjoy your amazing collection there - lucky to have 3 absolute minters!

I brought one of these rip off AE 1200 intentionally because i wanted to take the face plate out to spray it a new colour for my genuine Casio modification project. I wasn't going to ruin the real one. Anyway i put the rip off casio away and forgot about it. 18 months later i dug it & to my suprise its still bang on time. I couldn't believe it. As for the rest of it....Yeah! Its crap.

Quite commonly found in stores like Mr. DIY and other stores that sells cheap products. Some smaller watch shops also sell no name brand watches (but higher quality) next to legitimate major brand watches. Probably designed for not so bright or near-sighted parents or your grandparents to trick them into thinking this is the (legitimate) watch you wished for, for your birthday or Christmas l.

No homages are actually different enough and unique in their own way, they're also usually good watches. These are just garbage. Honestly it's really F'n sad that someone would buy a knock off of a $20 watch. Get a job

I suggest yes. My watch adventures (at least as an older adult) started when my father passed and I took his watches, learned to clean and service them, replaced bands on some and in one case a crystal. Then handed them out to my brother and my father's grand sons. None were particularly valuable but in a couple cases I could find working specimens on Ebay for 300+. Then I started going to thrift stores looking for nice or serviceable or the occasional gem. Get yourself an inexpensive set of tools, you are going to need some to take cases off and put them back on, also sizing and band replacement. Some micro fiber cloths, the kind that come with watches or glasses work great. And a tooth brush. It will blow your mind how you can transform dirty, dingy and covered with gook from wearing into a shiny little collection. I've graduated to "nicer" and newer watches but my watch case still holds 2 of my Dads and at least 4 that came from thrift stores. Also no joke, clean up a Fossil and give it as a "for no reason" gift to a friend (particularly women friends...) It goes over pretty well, just don't say you paid 8 bucks at a thrift store. I don't care what anybody says, as long as you can clean it to a point it looks good a Fossil is built like a Volvo. You can't break 'em.
