Nice to see how things have evolved, 1:22 looks entirely different now with a connection to the Buffalo bayou trail, 1:38 the UHD buildings that have since been built to the right, 7:13 a parking lot to the right has been made, 7:23 connection on the left to the bayou and bayou Greenway park built on the right, 7:37 bike route to the right and north of the bayou has since been built, 9:58 the shops/restaurants that have been built to the left and right of the bike trail, 12:04 mkt built on the left side with many restaurants/shops, 13:07 steps built on the left going down to the bayou, and a fee other things have changed like water fountains and bins. 25:34 the old workout area and children's playground have been updated in mid 2024, 30:30 pavement has been removed for about 1/4 of a mile and teh section from 32:00 and beyond has been closed off for a while.

Does it matter which way you face the spurcycle? If you face the opening forward as you do here, is it louder?

It was a lot of fun. My only regret is that I had my GoPro pointing down a bit too far, so the video isn't as interesting as it could be. Will fix for next time :D

Sound of the Spurcycle is not something I want to perpetrate on any innocent user of a bike or walking trail. Makes me recoil in revulsion and remove my headphones. I'll go with the Oi hands down. It should be loud enough for the trails I take, or I'll supplement with my voice.

What if you ring ahead of time? If you pull it less, wouldn't it be possible to reduce its volume? If so, it could save handlebar space.

The Spurcycle bell doesn't sound like a "bell", it sounds like a "tone". Pedestrians and other cyclists don't recognize it as a bike.

I have a spurcycle on my gf bike and 2 knog oi on my two bikes. Granted her bell cost as much as my two put together (and one of them is titanium), and while I guess someone can make an argument about which is more pleasing sounding, there is no competition on which is louder. Also installation mechanism is more flexible and more secure on the spurcycle. There are clones out for both. The difference in sound between the rock bros and spurcycle is noticeable. Curious if that will be true with the Knog, given that manufacturing of the Knog and the clone will be the same place.

In the case of the painful sound of the Spurcycle I'm sure louder is a plus.
