Does it matter which way you face the spurcycle? If you face the opening forward as you do here, is it louder?

Knog Luxe large (for 31.8mm bars) with full metal striker is louder than that, but not as loud as Spurcycle

It was a lot of fun. My only regret is that I had my GoPro pointing down a bit too far, so the video isn't as interesting as it could be. Will fix for next time :D

Sound of the Spurcycle is not something I want to perpetrate on any innocent user of a bike or walking trail. Makes me recoil in revulsion and remove my headphones. I'll go with the Oi hands down. It should be loud enough for the trails I take, or I'll supplement with my voice.
@han-lin19996 жыл бұрын
What if you ring ahead of time? If you pull it less, wouldn't it be possible to reduce its volume? If so, it could save handlebar space.
@soap53936 жыл бұрын
Spurcycle sound is so obnoxious, extra volume is not a plus.

The Spurcycle bell doesn't sound like a "bell", it sounds like a "tone". Pedestrians and other cyclists don't recognize it as a bike.

Hey, thanks for this. I just moved back to Houston and now in the Heights after 12 yrs in San Francisco. I only found the path last week and went downtown..
@tychay8 жыл бұрын
I have a spurcycle on my gf bike and 2 knog oi on my two bikes. Granted her bell cost as much as my two put together (and one of them is titanium), and while I guess someone can make an argument about which is more pleasing sounding, there is no competition on which is louder. Also installation mechanism is more flexible and more secure on the spurcycle. There are clones out for both. The difference in sound between the rock bros and spurcycle is noticeable. Curious if that will be true with the Knog, given that manufacturing of the Knog and the clone will be the same place.
@soap53936 жыл бұрын
In the case of the painful sound of the Spurcycle I'm sure louder is a plus.

You're booking it in this. Was that a pinch flat at 40:55?
@AaronWieczorek8 жыл бұрын
Oh yeah it was a beautiful day so I was going a little faster than usual. And yeah correct on that pinch flat. Rear wheel hit the corner of the jagged curb, which probably shouldn't have been there.
