There are so many better "outside of Tokyo" places to show off. I'll be living in Japan soon and you literally have UR apartments that go for 500 dollars a month and have 646 sq ft or more, with 2-3LDK in decently sized cities that are 45 min to an hour away from Tokyo by train. You literally have apartments that could house families with 2 kids for 500 dollars a month (+ utilities) that have supermarkets, shopping malls and easy train access to Tokyo. Yokohama is cheaper than Tokyo but its price is only slightly better as it's one of the most popular places to live.

I’ve seen more discussions over the treatment of black people in Japan - often wealthier expats and sadly, s*x tourists - than I have regarding the treatment of Mixed race Japanese people. Of course there won’t be any protests over that., because they’d be forced to concede that a bunch of half white Japanese people are discriminated against as well.
