Hello Dr. Victory, I had endo excision surgery (stage 4 with endometriomas both ovaries) 6 months ago. I had a consultation with an RE who said it may not be necessary to do suppression prior to transfer if we believe the surgery was successful and because surgery was done within a year that we could skip suppression or do a shorter course. Can I ask for your insight?

For US patients who want to pursue endometriosis excision (removal) rather than ablation (burning) or hormonal therapies (attempted suppression), I highly recommend Dr. Robert Furr out of Tampa, FL. He did my laparoscopic surgery last year and successfully removed endo and scar tissue from my rectum. The pain had gotten so bad before the surgery that I couldn’t sit longer than 20 min and bowel movements felt like passing razor blades 😣 Within a month of surgery, I was pain-free! During the same surgery, Dr. Furr removed multiple follicular cysts, each measuring 3-6cm. I was growing cysts every month and rarely released an egg. I also had a chemical pregnancy the one time I managed to conceive. Since the surgery, my LH scores are consistently high and I’ve only had a couple of cysts (prob due to life stress, unrelated to fertility). Something I was really nervous about was the presacral neurectomy (removal of a few nerves to the uterus). That part went great, tho! I no longer have debilitating menstrual cramps and I still have full sensation in my bladder, vagina, and rectum. I was also diagnosed with interstitial cystitis (chronic bladder inflammation). For years I had white blood cells in my (very orange) pee and difficulty fully eliminating. Dr. Furr gave me a bladder instillation and that first pee was heavenly 😌 The cure in my case was to eliminate dairy from my diet. I was already supposed to bc it was causing esophagitis, but the bladder problems strengthened my resolve to give up my favorite food. I just can’t recommend surgical intervention (with a qualified surgeon) enough! Dr. Furr’s staff are also rockstars with insurance. I paid only the $250 surgery deposit. They got Medicare and Medicaid to pay for everything else! US doctors will try to tell you they can’t get insurance to pay for surgeries like this, but that’s a failure of billing and appeals, not the govt refusing to pay.

Totally buy it! I had a chemical pregnancy 3 years ago and I think it was due to endometriosis. I was fortunate enough to have the endo excised last year and I’m very optimistic abt future embryo implantation 🤞🏻

So glad to see a doctor that isn’t preying on patient’s fears to sell expensive/invasive treatments that may not be needed! I’ve had gynos push bariatric surgery, ablation for endometriosis, hormonal birth control for follicular cysts, and surgical repair of prolapses. Instead I lost weight by discontinuing gabapentin, which had caused 30 lbs of weight gain in 6 months. I did physical therapy for the hip pain that the gabapentin had been treating and to address the pelvic floor problems that caused the prolapses in the first place. I wear a $20 OTC pessary that made surgical repair unnecessary. Had the endo and cysts excised (cut out) rather than ablated (burned). That led to another 10 lbs of weight loss, significant reduction in pain, and normalization of my hormones 🙌🏻

My ob-gyn told me they could try to turn my baby (complicated breech, one leg up, one down) but even IF it worked the baby frequently goes back and it wasn't worth the risk... C-section it is.

Doctor you are absolutely correct. As a doctor myself I always trust my treating physician to make decisions on my behalf of me in cases of need. It is more like a parental trust.

Telegram ? That's interesting 🤔 I feel like there's more to this !! Most people split when Ivf fails ? So the relationship part is what people do now. They have the government raise the kids and not hold mother and father responsible for not thinking things threw !! 🙄

Mine removed my appendix because it was covered in adhesions, swollen (without infection) and in a danger zone to be adhered to my pelvic wall causing damage to my bowel. So yeah, i was most certainly not angry when he took that sucker out😂 He cleaned up my ovary too that was pinned down by adhesions & released my round ligament and took out cysts on my ligament

Can you make a video about mast cells in the uterus. I have heard that some people with histamine intolerance have a higher rate of miscarriage. Do you know anything about MCAS disease relating to fertility issues?

Then lay that out for people before the surgery. That’s not too hard. I think most ppl would be appalled to wake up to one less organ than they planned on.

Why does it take so long for women to be diagnosed with endometriosis? Why are we told "thats normal for women your age" when we experience things that hurt in our bodies? We're half the population, dammit. Why is only "firtility" when women are in PAIN. My iud insertion was the most painful thing i have ever experienced. I was told to take advil. Dudes get hydrocodone for vasectomies. My point is, why is women's health only important when it comes to fertility? Those same organs are responsible for a majority of the pain we experience.

I used to feel when this happens. It feels like someone stabbed me in the ovary and twisted the knife. Debilitating pain for 8 seconds. Then it goes away and I'm just confused and slightly traumatised. The explosive nature of the release makes sense.
