What is the name of the song?

This guy was chill and seemed to know how to put a board together, at least. That has not been my experience at Zumiez. Zumiez was way overpriced compared to my local skate shop. It is always best to go to local skate shops that are not the big name stores like Zumiez or Dicks. Even if the local shop is sold out of bones reds bearings, they will have other better hardware, compared to any Zumiez. Maybe Zumiez has some socks, or stickers, or deck screws you buy when you’re in a pinch. But for actual good decks, and wheels, and trucks, and bearings, and shoes, and unique stickers, and assessment of your unique deck setup to match your ideal skating style, a good local shop is the only source for all those things in the skate community. Without the local skate shops, there are no sponsorships for local skaters. And no local skating events. There becomes no real local skate community in areas without these shops. Most skate pros got to the place they are in from massive support from their local skate community, and specifically local skate shop sponsors. Zumiez wants to advertise the skate “look” on Instagram, the company itself has no interest in actually supporting local skating communities or local skaters. I’m sure the moment meant something to the kid at the time, but that board is just not that great. Instead, for that size kid; an 8.0” deck with Indy trucks, Quantum or Bronson or Oust bearings, Bones dragon wheels 52-54mm, with mini logo 1mm shock pads would be way better. And would cost less than that wacky pile of trendy junk. Larger 60mm+ cruiser wheels with 3/4” riser, with tighter trucks, if he was actually going to ride that to school also. Zumiez should sponsor local skaters and put together local skating events. However they would still be selling products based only off of sales volume, rather than performance. The Bronson bearings might be the only thing Zumiez carries in their store, aside from thicker skate socks on clearance, that are actually any good in reality. Every single deck I have seen at Zumiez is priced higher, for no reason, compared to other places. It’s sad that so many support stores like Zumiez more than the places with better deck and hardware options, that are actually keeping the skate community alive. Hopefully that trend will one day change through more informed consumers.
