I'm glad you are playing this. The guy who made this spent 18 years bringing us something amazing!

Black Cauldron is in Prydain. Was my first Sierra game also - only two floppies.

Your Jollo impression sounds like Ed Wynn. He's Uncle Albert from Mary Poppins, or the Mad Hatter from Alice in Wonderland. He's the inspiration for the voice of King Candy from Wreck It Ralph.

Once when I was younger and had more time, I pressed the jump button (which would let you take a small step back up the hill) so many times that I triggered the snowman by going to far UP the hill! (It was not interesting, except to know that it still happened up there.)

It should of been made with space quest 3 and king's quest iv type of graphics. The chunky ega ones. I liked space quest 3 the best. It look straight like a comic book It's not bad per say BUT some of the graphics hurt my eyes. I got the map and just quit

It would be all kinds of awesome if sometime you had a Maniac Mansion marathon where you played every character combo in games back to back with trying to get a different ending each time. That would most definitely be a fun but quite possibly long stream!

This was an absolute blast to watch! I've heard of this game before but have never played it. I've been meaning to check it out but yeah, this was the first full playthrough of it I've ever seen. Everything about this game is absolutely amazing lol. It would be nice if there were different modes where you could put it on like an "easy" mode so you can watch more of the scenes without having to worry about them uppity goblins sneaking around as much. It would be sweet if they made another one of these eventually. Thanks for the upload!

We got a Packard Bell multimedia PC for Christmas 95. It was one of the best gifts we ever got. It was a family gift. 2.1gb hard drive blew my mind, and of course, Ski Free was included. Good times. I was 16.

The ending feels a little bit too much like a bit of wish fulfillment from Al Lowe, honestly: "Even if you're a loser in his early forties, you, too, can work out, give a gorgeous woman an incredible night of passion so she completely falls in love with you, and retire to a nice house by the lake to write video games!" I'm pretty sure that wasn't anybody's real intention, and I know this isn't the actual end of Larry's story, of course.

I've been unable to remember the name of this for years. I just have a memory of shopping for a new computer at a Best Buy in the '90s and playing this on one of their systems that they had set up. I specifically remember the yeti.

I have a vague recollection of this. But as a youngster on pc, it was Lemmings, Sopwith, Morath’s World, some 80s version of Flight Simulator, and a food chain game where you played as a fox and ate without getting eaten. Operation Frog too.

It's funny how a lot of people talk about this game, but I spent almost no time playing this. Oregon Trail is more understandable since it was required to play the hell out of that one.

nice to see the workout section was fixed. the way it was originally coded, it was tied to the cpu clock speed. so playing on a 386 back in the day was fine. but when people tried to play the game on their Pentium systems (before dos box and other emulators), it took over 500 reps of each exercise to get through.

Even though the game was great, I've never liked the end. Wasn't Argonia destroyed? Hirocon to me was a butt for having all the Argonians leaving. Especially with Mike & Mica getting along so well.

If there was ever by some miracle a new Police Quest game, I would love it to star their daughter entering the police force, who I think should be named Kathy Bonds, after Jack Cobb's daughter who passed away in the first game.... And of course the villain should be Jesse Baines estranged daughter, Jessie Baines 🤣

I always hated that damned jungle maze. Almost as much as trying to find the lost treasure of melee island. And I found that by accident, muddling my way through the forest.

I remember reading in Nintendo Power somewhere, probably twenty-five years ago, that the "nondescript horn" Kazooie is playing is a kazoo, like her name. Apparently, "Tooty" was originally going to be named "Piccolo," but was changed when they couldn't copyright that name. And she hasn't appeared in any game other than this one, so who cares, I guess.
@LetsPlayWithBrigands3 күн бұрын
I didn't know Tooty wasn't in any of the other games. Makes sense I guess as she didn't have much of a role in this one.

I have to know how you're playing this? I absolutely loved this specific version of Lode Runner when I was a kid, and I have tried for years to find it or how/where I can play it, I have noticed that someone people have bought the retro games consoles, but I am unsure on these, any advise would be greatly appreciated please! 🥹

Parts of the theme inside the lawyer's office reminds me of an old Yamaha keytar we had around the time we had this game. The demo song was a version of Last Christmas. I doubt it's what you're thinking of, but I always think of that every time I hear that theme.

Yeah they definitely have that kind of tone as I know what you're talking about.
