Why the surprise that we’re in a relegation fight? The club was in the 💩 and in their wisdom decide to give a failed coach the managers position because he scored a goal in a cup final. We then allow him to waste millions on the transfer market and bring in 3 mates to coach the team who are useless. Aberdeen who were in a similar position to us, they decide to make a proper manager their highest paid in their history. Top of the league and an extra 5K on their gates every fortnight. Not rocket science. The managers position is the most important at the club. Why do we continue to gamble with it. Instead of wasting millions on average players invest properly in the search for a manager FFS. It’s the only hope left. Mcinnes would steady the ship and pretty much guarantee top five each season. Or show some real ambition and target the Bodo Glimt gaffer Knutsen, going to him with an ambitious plan.

I’ll say it again….Rookie Manager who should never have been appointed with a poor backroom team to support him. And they’re responsible for looking after around 25 poor to average players. Instead of spunking millions and millions of pounds on rubbish, showing some ambition and appointing a high quality manager would have saved us this garbage the last few seasons.

we rugularly make exciting signings teams around us can only dream of plus the fees involved the list is endless vente and levitt being the main ones coming to mind but we just never significantly improve,what is wrong with our club we have the infrastrucure we pay the fees and the wages,big money is being spent what more can be done?plus literally dozens of examples of players not cutting it at hibs but leaving to apparently inferior clubs to not only do well at this level but end up haunting us in individual games and even then finishing above us in the table,i have my theories on this but what do others think?

A couple of points, I think there's a lack of concentration and awareness at times plus defenders should enjoy defending rather than seeing it as something that drives up the blood pressure levels.

Like most fans I was trudging out of Easter Road on Saturday frustrated at losing the late goal and questioning the late substitution which preceded that. After feeling quite optimistic about seeing the match out at 2-1, or even adding another as I felt we looked comfortable enough and naturally the first reaction was to point the finger at the manager over the re-jigging of defence. The written article along with this broadcast reflecting on the game and decisions after a day or so to cool down has certainly helped to understand the thinking behind the tactical changes.
