So, the G8 has 8 outputs and the QPLFO has 4 channels. How do they work together ? What do they do when paired ?

very clever with the LED's plugged into the stackables, never seen anyone do that. thanks for the demo!

So many KZbin videos make me wish I had a Freq Box. That rack setup you have for your Moogerfoogers looks really convenient. Great set up that saves desk space and keeps the jacks accessible.

Most excellent..thanks..what other modules would compliment the G8 with intermix expansion? OR? AND? and many ADSR?

I have one too, and there a lot of different ways to hook it up, I haven't tried the one input at a time approach but I have run the lead tone through a quantizer and gotten some altered chords that were interesting.

This is cool for my purposes as a Noob, but as a Noob, this would have been EPIC had it had CV pan control those 4 channels.

MIDI connection was with the KMI MIDI expander. Little green box in the upper left behind the paper
@cameronleggett9 жыл бұрын
What kind of connection are you using from the Q-Nexus (USB) to the Groovesizer (MIDI in)? Does a class compliant USB MIDI connector cable work? Or are you using a MIDI Man box, or a computer? Thanks.

Interesting. I see that you are using the echophon with guitar. Nicely tripped out. I do a more frippertronics style looping thing and was considering getting a phonogene. Have you ever had the occasion to try one with guitar? It seems like it would be cool. Also: 4ms has a dual looping delay coming out. That might fit my needs better but is probably safer. Seems like the Make Noise stuff excels at unpredictability.

What do I need to create a stereo patch out of a simple single VCO patch? I am looking for a stereo module to record dry patches from my modular as for the time being the stuff I use to "stereofy" the output, are the moogerfoogers MF-103 and MF-108....but there stereo effect involves having phaser/chorus/flanger to some degree. I see no CV inputs to modulate the pan pots...Elaborate on getting nice stereo sounds, please?

thanks for sharing! i think the sh32's polyphonic step arpeggiator sounds more expressive when played from a keyboard. i guess the idea was to show off the groovesizer? looking forward to more of your demos.

is this mode like a cv-controlled router?
@noisythang10 жыл бұрын
Not sure what you mean, but i don't think so. The G8 is sending gates/triggers, not routing stuff
@deadmoldable10 жыл бұрын
ok, i think i got it now. the output is sending a trigger/gate when its activated by cv.

Might be worth considering after all. The mixing function would indeed be handy. Thanks for the info! ^^
@noisythang11 жыл бұрын
The Stilton provides outputs, which are proper for pedals, etc. Plus the mix knobs which blends between input and output and lets you submix. So really, you'd need 4 outs, plus 4 A-119s, plus a mixer. It's really like having up to 4 FX busses into the modular.. Also, your prices must be different - over here one Stilton costs about 3 A-119, so I am still one in/out ahead. And yes, the amps have a nice character, plus you get feedback without any patching at all.
@ErikKiliam11 жыл бұрын
The 119 is a one-channel amplifier coupled to an envelope follower, of which you almost get five of for the price of the Stilton. The feedback pahts of the Stilton is really just coupled outputs/inputs, which could really easily be replicated by simple patching using other amps. Is it the convenience of having four amps under one panel that makes it worth getting? Do the amps of the Stilton have a character suitable for feedback patching?
@noisythang11 жыл бұрын
The a-119 i an input. The Stilton is 4-in/outs, with cross-fading and feedback paths. Much, much different. If TheHarvestman ever starts making them again, I'm buying more.
@noisythang11 жыл бұрын
Some of the clicks are the PDO phase being bounced around, not the gates.
@ErikKiliam11 жыл бұрын
Im curious.. What made you go for the Stilton intead of just more 119s?

Pretty awesome. Great setup, as well! Is the moog cv standard the same as, say, doepfer's stuff? I've got the MF-101, and was looking to start building a modular setup slowly. I was wondering if things would connect together comfortably, and it looks like it will. Expert sleepers looks incredible BTW! Great videos!
@noisythang11 жыл бұрын
Well, it does a lot of stuff for the price. If all you need is CV, and don't care about all the MIDI/CV in/keyboard stuff it does, you could get a basic keyboard and a Kenton, or get a MIDI/CV modular module, if you already have a modular. I think the QuNexus is more whizzy as a MIDI controller, and unique with the CV ins. I will likely never use it as my main pitch CV source, so the slew bothers me very little.
@noisythang11 жыл бұрын
Funny you should mention that, i measured it: see qunexus-cv-slew-quantizer-test on my soundcloud page (theminibubas)
