Are the nimh battery better than lipo..?
@elvisblasphemy4222 ай бұрын
I use NiMH on my Tamiya kits. I feel the design of these older Tamiya kits could probably handle todays modern Lipo, which last longer in holding a charge, and can have more output power. But I use the NiMH because I feel the the lighter power output is better on the overall longevity of the transmission gears. Thank you for watching!

im running my tt-02 escort on 3s Lipo and it runs pretty fine, better than nimh tbh

Why it’s slow ?
@digitaldriver14262 ай бұрын
BL-2S motor. Only 3300kv. Seems to be a mild motor. Benefits: motors have been cooler, allowing longer run times. Driving style too. We both were driving easy because track was soo slick. Sometimes it would hook, other time you would loose the rear. Fun no matter what :)
@tonybiggs50812 ай бұрын
This is great! Very interested in the body shells. Did you create a pattern or just scratchbuild roughly to scale?
@digitaldriver14262 ай бұрын
Both, drew out templates from cardboard. Then transferred to cut out on metal, pop rivet together. Thank you for watching!

Cool course! Thinking about doing something similar in my woods. I was slowly working on scale 4x4 trail at our last home, back in WA state, but we recently sold that and mowed to SW Missouri. I have a pretty decent patch of woods here, and it's fairly level, which would be suitable for SCT's, but there are also some rocky mounds here and there, so a rock buggy course is feasible.
