Just found your channel. I am looking at your radbolt setup, and I have never seen someone loop the radbolts with reflectors around your Mat Studies terminal that way. I am guessing that is to "Catch" overshoot or extra bolts. I am confused. a) When a dupe walks up to the Mat Studies terminal, don't they take a radbolt to the head, and your loop is gone? b) I thought radbolts lost 1 bolt every 10 tiles traveled, so if you are catching 1 or 2 extra bolts, they would deplete within seconds. I would love to be educated on how this works.

I like this design! How is it for major volcanoes?
@mr_pickle_yt2 ай бұрын
@@dereklearnslowThank you! I haven’t tried major volcanos yet but you could probably expand the magma and steam chambers by about 150%/250%. I’d also add another aqua tuner for the steam turbines and maybe split the hydrogen loops into 4 or 5 due to the added heat and magma and the expansion of the magma chamber. One important thing to remember though is that if magma is touching something it’s best to make it out of obsidian and for metal steel or some other metal with a high melting point. Hope this helps! If you have any further questions feel free to reply and I’d be more than happy to answer!

Honestly carbon dioxide vents with a steel gas pump are a great way to provide heat for a steam room. You then just need a way to get rid of the cooled co2 so you can feed a couple of slicksters with it

slush geyser are the best, sure in mid late, it suck to have to heat it, but it's still easier than cooling it and the massive boost it give if you find one early, it can carry you trough extremly hard setting. i like chlorine vent, there's no alternative to produce chlorine, i mean, there is, but it's complicated, it have nice utilities for germ killing, i would rather have it than an hydrogen vent, having a second one though is completly useless.

Gold should be better than copper and cobalt because you will definitely want to use gold for decoration that uses refined metal or metal tile for that extra deco benefit.

I feel like the slush geysers are way more useful than the hot geysers because there is less ways to cool things down, but heat is infinite. Haven’t played too much in a while though. I think about the geysers more when colonizing and running volcanoes is a lot easier with something to dissipate heat. I guess it depends how you feel about steam turbines.
@AdamC169 Жыл бұрын
With the addition of steam turbines you can put a steel aquatuner in a sealed room and use steam to cool it, using the aquatuner to make a cooling loop or cooling block to run things through to cool them.
@mr_pickle_yt Жыл бұрын
I completely agree! Cooling is extremely hard in the early game and finding one of the cool slush geysers helps out a lot with that early game cooling.

I thought netherack was not fully automatable (hence fully automated steam engines maxing out at level 9/15)?
@mr_pickle_yt Жыл бұрын
This is possible because of a Create Mod Addon. I believe it is create stuff and additions.
@WTZWBlaze Жыл бұрын
@@mr_pickle_yt Definitely not S&A. Ran your contraption in a modpack with that addon and it didn't work. My immediate thought was an addon I've never tried called Create Ore Additions, but it doesn't seem to match up. Either way, you've gotta figure out what addon you have that causes this recipe to work. Either that, or make a new one that incorporates the healing-potion-spout method of automating netherrack.
@mr_pickle_yt Жыл бұрын
@@WTZWBlaze I’m not too sure of the problem. It might have broken in the latest create mod update or it’s a conflicting mod pack. Did you try placing nether rack in the barrel?
