I got one with the shiny label, too, and today I bought an older Ranger 6. The shiny label was 1970's and 1980's, I think it was the wikipedia entry, or KZbin, or the EKO site. You can simply search Ranger 6 again, and find more. Important is, there are some differences. You mentioned the bridge, there are two or three types. The larger one has the bridge pins in a semi-circle, or in a straight line. The size of the tuner capstans is smaller in the guitar I bought today, so I guess that is an early model. Even the logo EKO on the headstock is different. But most important, the neck support inside the body is one huge block of wood. In the later model it is a bit lighter. Did you notice it has a bolt on neck? This means, you can get a 12 string bridge installed, and find a seconc neck, that you can change into a 12 string neck. Larger headstock, replace the nut behind the zero fret and you got a 12 string EKO. These exist, the fun part is, you can have a 2 in 1 guitar. Sure doing the setup could spoil the fun, but maybe it is easier than I think.

Bought one Jolana Iris in April 1991. in Belgrade , ex Yugoslavia , now Serbia. I never played because amp was too expansive . Its same like this one , but i lost case and somehow switcher !😐Fine guitar for one who start to play .
