I was at a friends farm a few years back and he has donkeys. I woke up one morning to a commotion and looked out the window and saw one of the donkeys walking by carrying a coyote in his mouth. The coyote was freaking out, but couldn’t get away.

Donkeys are great. Love that nice covered pen. Looks like he’s following whatever it is through the brush. Those ears aren’t there just for show. The crow is giving a heads up notice as well. I have 3 crows around my yard. They always warn me when something is wrong. And it’s always a coyote. Wow the property is beautiful.

It looks like there haven't been any posts for a couple years. I recently learned that donkeys make good livestock guardians. Nice video

Wow donkeys are so diff to horses horses see ANYTHING that looks slightly like a predator they freak out and bolt.. this guy is like .. dead still. But it just shows you how far off something can be to make a horse bolt too.

I love country life. I miss my farm but it was lonely and at times, dangerous. I wouldn't do it again without a man around.

Oh she's just lovely! Congratulations on your success with her. Nothing more fun in the world than driving a donkey and nothing more satisfying than getting to the place where donkey is happy and light to aids in the carriage. Mine is just 4. Looking forward to showing more in harness next year.
