Do you leave the tiny gap in between for water to drain? I’m trying to find if this is the proper way or if they should be close together as possible.

We use tapco(davinci) on conservatory roofs in the uk. They're pretty weather tight if lapped correctly.

Even with the high quality felt being used the overlaps seem a bit tight esp for what is a relatively low angle roof. I would worry about the durability of the material too - you can claim a 40 yr lifespan but the risk is high. With labor the biggest cost always use the right quality material and enough of it! Of course if its just a shed or garage then fair enough.

U lay them right to left not left to right he’s made that hard work
@denverscott3710 ай бұрын
If you're right handed, you work left to right on a roof. Right to left would be much harder for a right handed roofer, I've laid thousands of shingles in my 34 years roofing, and I hate when I have to work right to left, but there are times when that's just how it works out.
@johnsavage9711Ай бұрын
When your using interlocking tiles, like these artificial slates, the channels are always on the left. No matter what handed you are, it's easier to tile in from right to left. Natural slate and shingles doesn't matter and would be the persons preference
@BarondogboyАй бұрын
Work right to.left on these here & you would not be able to fix the bottom fixing point.
