A friend flew his with the same engine and a 24x12 bi. He got 6300 rpms on the ground but in the air it was full throttle all the way to keep in flight and it was not picking up speed. He is now trying a 24x14. I do not see how you can fly it with a 10 in pitch and only 5200 rpm. The blade speed isn't enough

Around 20 degrees. Ther is a film on you-tube from the 1 flight sir.

I saw it and was wondering as on film it is difficult to judge speed and flight feel. We flew in 30 °c and the engine was running perfectly. It didn't seem to have power tu feel secure as it was full throttle all the way and wanted to slow down as soon as we tried to climb.

omg that sound without a pipe wow...im looking at one to put in a esm val for that sound.......the only thing I don't like is where the carb sits(too close to firewall) can the carb be moved at all??? thx

I may pick this plane up and stick a roto motor inline twin 4-stroke... I would have to cut on the long engine mount and reglue it on this plane though... I have a TF 50cc mustang with DA50 and a solo2 blade prop. I have NOT flow that one yet...... will have to see how that goes......

That is a very nice mustang. Your propeller looks quite big for a 60cc what brand / size is it and how does it go ? I have a DA60 in mine and would like a 4 blade propeller but want it as big as possible, for scale. Also I noticed you changed the markings, how did you safely remove the old ones without damaging the covering ? Thanks

The185skywagon It sounds like he has a large single 4stroke engine in that one...Call up DA and ask what prop you can use.... I would do that before I trused someone else's opinion of what prop size/pitch should be used with a DA60 in a fighter plane.....
