Thanks so much for this! It's so amazing that someone's done a guitar lesson. I still remember so vividly seeing them live on their first UK tour at Nottingham Poly in 1989. I'd only heard their first single and the place was half full, but they came on stage to this with an oil projector lighting the stage and it was just such an amazing evening. I just need someone to show me the keyboard chords to Indian Rope as I just can't work them out at all. Cheers

@@Holonomics Good for you having seen the oil projector lighting on their stage. I heard/read about it in 1991. They had it for their first Japan tour too. I wish I were able to witness it.

7 and a half mfin minutes of this. incredible. i want to experience this. my literal one "gripe" (so minor as to be irrelevant, on the whole) is that The Body don't really have songs like this. they could easily come close to matching this if they did.

Whoever captured this did a pretty job getting a pretty decent recording of the sound, considering the volume, including the crazy white noise section portion they're famous for doing during this song/finale. Great way to test if my inner earplugs to protect me while maintaining the full sound work (they do). I had tinnitus I was fortunate enough to have go away and I'm not risking that again - it was hell. Kevin himself has it and has said he eventually learned to cope with it by calling it his "friend", but tinnitus is no joke - lots of musicians from this era got _serious_ tinnitus from being pretty careless with the volumes they exposed their ears to, and some didn't make it out: the drummer for the band "Inspiral Carpets" killed himself after suffering for 20 years with it (he cited it as the primary reason in his note). He left a wife of many years behind.

i like Miki's songs slightly more than Emma's, idk why, i read that Emma didn't like co-writing,, and wanted to write everything w/o any input from other band members,, which is probably why they broke up after only 7-8 years.

he only has like 20 or so of them. he literally has one for each song they do live because each song is tuned differently.

no, its an original 1958. J has a matching 1958, which was the inspiration for the J mascis Squier signature.

This video brings back memories of seeing them live in 2018. This song sounds amazing live, it just carrys you away into a dreamy state. I think recordings don't capture their true live sound, but this recording is pretty good.
