Hervorragend! Besser kann Kunst nicht gehen. Goethes bedeutendes Werk, der "Erlkönig", komponiert vom großen Franz Schubert und ausgezeichnet gesungen und interpretiert von Samuel Hasselhorn, Bariton. BRAVO! Auch für die Pianistin!

It's a real delight to hear of genuine bass baritone sing this brilliant aria from Bach. It's very much and keeping with this style and apparent intentions by himself had for vocal performance. Reminds me of the great Franz Crass.

All that you could wish for: a wonderful dramatic baritone instrument with all the color flexibility for character painting, unusually good support of the text meaning at any given point in the piano (a thing I look for), flawless attacks and releases from both artists, which is what creates and sustains the wild forward momentum, and for once, the accompanying artist is permitted to support the drama whole force with her face.😊 What I loved on top of all the other thrills was the German so crisp, clear, and naturally nuanced grammatically that I could actually kick back and just enjoy a walloping good storyteller's narration of the dreadful story, without thinking about the language. Even if the singer is a native speaker, this isn't to be assumed an easy job.
