hey my dude!! Im sure glad I watched this!! lol. Thanks for the mention, and yes the Carb has fixed all your issues. So I've been working on another one of these trucks and I've tried 3 different carbs, still the same bog down issue. So I'm looking at the crankcase itself and it def looks like there is a hole, I gotta show it in a video soon. I think these redcat made SH 21 engines for this model are just problematic overall. Mine has went beyond a bad carb at this point, SICK!!>.

@hybrid32494 I am still getting mine dialed in, but she's definitely not far off........maybe an hour or 2 on the HS and LS. I also am also questioning the workmanship, my bearings slid in way too easy and it concerns me when it gets hot, are they leaking?

@@SmilinRC well the bearings are not supposed to be totally air tight and it's normal for some oil to leak past them, often times this is why you will find oil on the chassis right neat the flywheel. From the sound of your idle I'd recommend richening the Low Speed to lower your RPM some too. On mine I literally have a hole in the metal casting of the crankcase right where the carb sits as you put it in, never seen that before.

if I put my finger over the seat body and blow in to the tube It still has air blowing out somewhere in the carb body is that normal or should I not be able to blow thru it ?

Does it leak when the float and needle are installed.......there are small holes in the bottom of the seat that you are unable to plug with your finger.

I did not remove it completely, only trimmed it, so it still directs air over the head from the fan.

I own my own cycle shop. I run into this constantly. After i run my carbs thru an ultrasonic cleaner i use the same technique only with a q tip and mothers polish. Then go back and polish it with a clean q tip. Unfortunately what youll find in a lot of cases is after u polish it up take a a jewelers glass and a good flash lite and youll find that the seat is pitted or damaged. Look close youll see it. In cases where the seat is pressed in and not replaceable i drill it out and find a new seat from maybe a polaris or yamaha. Whatever. Put an o ring on it and push it into the body. Make it fit. Set your float highth and install a copper washer on top of the seat with seals all on it. Let it set over night and viola you have a new seat and needle

The issue is their ESC's are crap. I went through 3 of them and got the same results. I switched to a hobby wing esc and problem gone. As far as budget setups hobby wing is better quality in my opinion. Surpass is ok as well but it's hit or miss with them also.

Ill have to give it a shot. My Carburator is leaking i went ahead and rebuilt it. Still leaks out of the float bowl vent tube where the plug scew is on my FCR Carburator

@@dc5.nandoo I ended up making a brass shim to go between float and needle valve and that fixed mine .... was Alot of play and when float was all the way up it wasn't closing needle valve all the way

Possibly programming card or it’s just not matching with ur motor and u need a better one I have the same esc and it’s fine on mine but I run 4300 kv 2845 brushless
