Marvin and I grew up together three doors from each other over 70 years ago in a place called Buzzard Point in S.W. Wash. D.C. He was a good friend and a very good soul.

You're welcome! Bobby Scott (January 24, 1937 - November 5, 1990) may have some inaccuracies on his Wiki page. I wrote a play and stage show about the collaboration between your father and Marvin Gaye. I would love the opportunity to discuss your father with you. www.jazznmysoul.com

It is a picture of love, and how blessed are we to be able to see it through the eyes of the one he loved, the great Marvin Gay. What a voice, what a love, what a journey!

This song, “I Worry Bout You” had a lot of folks singing in their seats at the concert. “I Worry Bout You” comes from the album “Many Moods of Marvin Gaye,” which had some early Marvin Gaye hits on it. “Ain’t That Peculiar,” “I’ll Be Doggone” and others. Marvin was able to incorporate some of his standards into his R&B albums at that time. It’s no wonder the folks in the audience were singing along. Once again, Brian was amazing!

I was amazed when I heard Brian Owens perform this song. He nailed it. It was the most challenging of all the Gaye/Scott collaborations, you've got to have skills to do this. Brian embodied Marvin Gaye. This show screams for an encore!

If you think of Marvin as just a singer then you do not know him. He could do so many things…. Played so many instruments, invented instruments, and I truly believe he could talk directly to God/in vise versa. What a blessing he was to us all.
