WHICH FABRIC DO YOU LIKE BETTER, THE CTB20 OR CPL 24?

Great video, Kev! I have a question for you: If the bag isn't fully packed (in EDC mode) and you have a thinner water bottle, will the bottle slip out if you, for example, bend down to pick something up from the ground?
@OneTakeEDC9 күн бұрын
Hey Thanks for the kind words, I did try that after your comment (for science) and I can say it does move around a bit but doesn't fall out, I would say that could be due to the fact that I only could get a 18oz in it, I assume that if you shuffle between an 18oz and something larger, it might extend the pocket a bit as it doesn't have any way to hold its form and then you may have the slippage problem, hope this helps.

@@OneTakeEDC Sorry, one last question! Do the bottle pockets have drainage holes at the bottom? I'm also from the PNW and I'm concerned that without drainage, water might pool at the bottom of the pockets during heavy rain.

Which do you prefer more, the MPH or CT5? I've been looking at exactly these two. I like that the CT5 can home the water bottle externally in a way that doesn't eat into the main space. It looks like maybe the sleeve of the MPH could handle a water bottle but it would consume the main space. A main use case I'm considering is as a dad bag, wondering which would be better.
@OneTakeEDCАй бұрын
I would choose the CT5 over the MHP..as you mentioned the space that the water bottle eats up in the MHP is a bit of a downer. The CT5 has some nicer material choices too and will probably still cost less than a MHP shipped..thanks for stopping by and watching..cheers
@ThunderShoeАй бұрын
@@OneTakeEDC Thanks for the super fast reply. Now that you've had some time to use the CT5, how is the comfort? Does it actually carry a water bottle well in the sleeve? Or does the weight distribution get awkward?

Great, comprehensive review with some good insights. Everyone has their own use for a briefcase, but for me the main use is when I'm driving. Therefore, I don't need a lot of things I might need in a backpack, which I use when I commute by bus, train, etc. I'm also confused by this product. To me, a briefcase is held in the hand. Once it's slung across a shoulder, it becomes a messenger. That means, this product doesn't really have any use for me. But, to each his own. I own almost every Evergood product in one variation or another -- and have never had any shipping issues. The "gash" that you mention -- and the fact that it looks like it was caused by a "box cutter" -- could it be that you did that yourself when you opened the package? I know you said it wasn't you and that it came like that "out of the box," but it had to come out of the box somehow ..

Another similar sized bag is the GR136 Metrorunner 6L, comes in VX42/Ecopak/Cordura depending on availability. It has a more tactical look though.
@KelvinHew73 ай бұрын
Tomtoc is so underrated in the carry community because of their pricing. They are in the wallet friendly tier. Tomtoc their core product line is tech protection, they make laptop sleeves, iPad covers, messenger bags, tech slings, etc. I walk in to any Apple physical store, ill see a shelf of Tomtoc products on display. I am glad they are exploring the travel space because carry and travel goes hand in hand. Your travel experience may vary depending on your carry and everyone has their own style and ways of carry. My parents used to tell me this " find something which is cheap and good", even during our food hunting. Buying a higher priced product does not mean the quality is any better than a lower price product.

People always find something to complain about. This is an absolutely great manageable size compared to the 26. This bag wasn’t designed to be as an EDC bag primarily, thus the name CTB or Civic TRAVEL Bag. This was designed to be a Travel bag and not an EDC.
@PanaMaJwaaRd3 ай бұрын
Yawn. Don't be disingenuous. You know its too fat for edc, and people are using it for edc regardless of name.
@zjhongolez3 ай бұрын
@@PanaMaJwaaRdbut That’s what I am saying… it’s not an EDC bag. It is marketed as a travel bag and I purchased it as intended. Not saying you can’t use it for EDC. Just saying people need to stop complaining it’s a thick bag knowing that the CPL line exists. I use an AER City Pack VX for EDC / Office use, which is slick and slim. And then a Tom Bihn Techonaut 30 for longer Air Travels. This one is a perfect Weekender bag as it is made for it.

I am a Alpaka fanboy but Tomtoc is delivering with its gear. I got a T73 , T26 (non X-Pac) and T21 in X-Pac. Tomtoc gives you the most bang for your buck. And the most important thing is the availability. Amazon got Tomtoc in stock, so i get it for cheaper and faster than Alpaka.
