It's actually 16 beats I think. The tempo is pretty fast so you can double the time and count to 16 and then reach the first beat. The cycle is divided into 4 beats times 4. So if you listen closely you can separate the 1,2,3,4 then 5,6,7,8 then 9,10,11,12 and then finally 13,14,15,16. Then you arrive back at 1
