Sheldon is such an awesome guy. I remember when I just arrived to Canada with my brother, we looked up Dingwall and we found out they had a shop where we lived. Found it on google and drove there and just knocked on the door and well... It was the Dingwall custom shop facility and we didn't even realize that LOL Sheldon was there and offered us a tour of the place even though we were practically nobodies! And I love the fact that he is as nice and as proud of his basses as he was back then, around 9 years ago. Also looks like he barely aged since then :) Still a fond memory I think of whenever I see Dingwall basses or videos. And looks like the basses just keep getting better and better!

Amazing, the woods are gorgeous! Another option to consider in order to keep the price low and the concept of "low spec-ed / high quality" would be to go passive... no? I have seen a lot of passive ABZs on the web, and i assume the thinking behind it was exactly this...
