Thank you! I've been playing some Cope songs too. Honestly wanting to learn them really helped motivate me to learn how to play and have fun doing so. So, even if I never, and I won't, sound as good as Cope, at least I now sound like something! Nice Two Of Hearts cover btw. So fun.

@@kuhwoo i almost never learn other peoples songs but sunspots had me learn actual chords (i usually just play power chords) sounding like something is a good start, just do what sounds good to you and keep at it. glad you like my 2of<3 cover

Julian is so influential. I feel like BJM and Blur built their sound and careers around certain Julian Cope songs. The head drood. Have you read His autobiography(s)? A fascinating man and brilliant artist. I love this old footage. It reminds me of my own childhood Christmases.

I have indeed! And agreed, The Arch Drude is a true complete genius. I'm so glad you liked the video, and I love the footage too. I just make these out of a feeling they should exist and because editing them is really fun.

The part where you are dancing in front of the window with the light and solar flares works really well. I imagine it slowed down to an almost shutter stuttering pace in black and white. Very nice Caoimhe. Great choice of song also. I grew up listening to Teardrop Explodes and Julian's solo work. Super human being.

Wow. The essential qualities of life in one video. A beautiful girl with a cat t shirt dancing to Sunspots by the Arch Druid. It doesn't get any better.
@diggerthegroundhog87993 жыл бұрын
Although you should have shot the entire video in front of the window. It just goes better with the song. The hallway doesn't work as well. Still, a young European woman, dancing to Julian Copes greatest song is The greatness of Perfection on any day for me. Thank you for finding St. Julian at such a young age. It's really inspiring and gives me hope for your generation.

@@diggerthegroundhog8799 Thanks, I do love the second shot, which was totally an accident. I was dancing in the hallway and I only even took that second shot because my phone crapped out towards the end of the first, boy am I glad it did; the overexposure works so perfectly for the song.

I know this comment is 5 years later, but I've now been dancing to this song for 18 years, just two years behind the original 20+ quoted in your comment. When I uploaded this, I'd already had 15 years of dancing to Julian Cope, years well spent and much improved for it. Art is timeless and good art is in 'amatory converse' with all subsequent generations (the past, too). Especialy Cope!!
